Bob Steele Starts a Home on the Range
A good, average Bob Steele with a typical plot - bad guy Steve Clark (George Brady) has has kidnapped Hale and substituted Earl Dwire (phony Mr. Hale) for the real one, who happens to be Steele's (Jim Hale) step-father. The real Mr. Hale had sent for Steele to join him on his ranch and to share an inheritance. Clark wants that inheritance money and Hale's land. He and his gang which include rancher Charles K. French (Ed Oliver) and Roger Williams (Pete) have used the phony Hale and French to block off the only pass that lovely Roberta Gale (Helen Green) can use to get her horses to market on time to fulfill a government contract. So, there is no mystery here - the drama and suspense lie in how the events play out. As usual, this Steele movie is action packed - fighting, gun play, and riding. No music, but Steele gets the girl.
