I miss the 30 minute private eye shows
Audiences today may not realize the immense talents of director Blake Edwards and musician Henry Mancini putting together what was in its day the most imaginative and musically entertaining 30 minutes of private eye, cops, and perps. And there were the talents of singer/actress Lola Albright and character actress Hope Emerson as Mother. Of course the current mania for sex, violence, and general vulgarity were not the norm in the 1950s and 1960s. We were better off without jaded directors and mindless automatons in the audience
