A painting of the Nauvoo Temple based on drawings and plans of William Weeks, architect of Temple, and other authentic information gathered from historical sources by Nauvoo Restoration, Incorporated. The Temple was built by the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Constructed of native light colored limestone quarried in the vicinity, it was commenced in April, 1841, dedicated May 1, 1846, and burned in October, 1848.

Moody Church's Romanesque sanctuary is one of the largest in the nation, seating over 4000 persons. Its four-manual, 4000 pipe organ is one of the finest, and the present value of the church and property near downtown Chicago is over $3,000,000.

The Baha'i House of Worship, Wilmette, Illinois, on Lake Michigan near Chicago. A nine sided structure--diameter top of steps. 152 feet; height 165 feet; diameter of dome 98 feet, beautifully ornamented in moulded quartz and white concrete. It welcomes to its services persons of all races and creeds.

Rev. Glenn L. Utterback, Pastor. THe church was built; the song was written; both were made famous by the well known Weatherwax Brothers Male Quartet, who sang the song internationally over 3000 times as a closing number in Lyceum and Chautauqua concerts. A picture of the Weatherwax Brothers now hangs in the little church today.

Old Mission Plaza Church, Los Angeles - The first church built in Los Angeles; the foundation was laid in 1814 when this beautiful city was but a little Pueblo of less than 1000 inhabitants. It was formerly known as the church of Nuestra Senora Reina de Los Angeles (Our Lady, Queen of the Angels.) -- Now in charge of the Missionary Sons of the Sacred Heart of Mary. Regular religious services are held there as of old.

The First Church in Vermont, organized December 3, 1762. The present building was dedicated January 1, 1806, and was restored in 1937. This church has always been an active congregation throughout its long history.

Set among the birches, elms, cedar and maples on the shore of Lake Huron, it is one of the most beautiful churches of the Archdiocese of Detroit. Constructed on Indiania limestone, it seats 650. Completed in 1956 at a cost of $122,000. Summer Masses 7:30 - 8:30 - 9:30 - 10:30 - 11:30. Rev. John R. Hogan, Pastor.

Built 1754-1768 The ruin of Brunswick Town south of Wilmington, N. C., is one of the nation's most interesting historic sites. The town, on a bluff overlooking the Cape Fear River, has been excavated and is open to tourists. St. Philip's Church was one of the earliest churches in America. Its still-standing exterior walls, 33" thick, withstood the Federal bombardment of nearby Fort Anderson.
