After two years away from touring, and with over a dozen new songs in the bag, Radiohead decided to roadtest some of their less developed, more experimental material throughout the summer of 2000. They elected to go with a primarily Mediterranean tour, and started it in an ancient Roman theatre in Arles, a beautiful city in the south of France. The tension in the air was very clear, but the band worked through it, premiering seven songs - five to be released on
Kid A, two more from the next year's
Amnesiac. Very good audience recording with clear vocals (if you ignore the near-silence for the first thirty seconds, all before the first song starts).
