Río Yañez,
alongside his mother and father – Yolanda Lopez and Rene Yañez – are being
evicted from their family home at San Jose Ave, near 26th Street in the Mission
by Realty West. His family has lived in the same apartment on San Jose Ave.
since 1978. The original footage was captured on January 17, 2014 as part of a storytelling circle called "Campfire: Eviction Ghost Stories and Other Housing Horrors." This mini-clip is part of a series of mini-clips honoring fourteen City storytellers who shared their eviction horror stories that evening around the fire.
