Sometimes he would work a couple of hours before going to school - and after school, but never on Sunday. He would make basket bottoms - when he made what they needed, the rest of the day was his - his father and brother finished the baskets and Wyker's handled the baskets. Started when he was seven years old - learning how to make bottoms and baskets.
He is the last basket-maker alive
