A Remake of "Boosting Is A Business"
This time produced in Mansfield, OH in 1964. Both films are fascinating. They show dozens of shoplifting techniques.
One should be especially suspicious of trench coats, people carrying knitting baskets or boxes, And, of course, women - who are the majority of shoplifters.
Loved the "between the legs" method. Must be a Mansfield, OH thing. It's not mentioned in the earlier film made in Oakland, CA.

Meat in between the legs!
Not a bad overview on how a shoplifter works, Plenty of tactics seen here are actually quite relevant today. I'm not sure about the "cram stuff between my legs" bit though. Lovely shots of mid 60s stores and merchandise too. Surprise there was no mention of apprehension. The store I work at also has a "no chase" policy, as to protect it's employees. Seems like this was in place in those days as well.
