A rich man is murdered in his mansion during a seance. The seance seemed to be more of a magic show to me. Present are a handful of people who could, and some did, have motives for killing him. A police captain investigates, his assistant providing a little comedy relief.

I've seen enough of these to choose the likely murderer by the the time the initial interviews are over. After the second murder, I was positive.

The director did a good enough job keeping the story moving so that I didn't lose interest from all the exposition. No mean feat considering Jack Mulhall plays the police captain.
