Mi amigo Mike gets a shout-out in this very special episode of The El Wayno Loco Show. Mike recently lent EWL a two-cd collection of songs The Beatles covered at various points in their recording and performing career. There are 50 songs on the collection in total, and yes, a light went off in ol' El Wayno Loco's cabasa. A plan, a personal challenge to myself to create a show based on this wonderful collection. What follows is three hours and twenty minutes of very interesting stuff, followed by another hour and twelve minutes in an addendum! Love the collaboration with Mike Grennan,who has an incredible music collection (seen it in person:)).You did an excellent job of combining lots of familiar oldies with some songs I'd never heard before.The old 'hood certainly produced some incredible people.Love this,and plan to share it with my son ,who plays hardcore punk.."Thats not MUSIC!!" says the Bennymama(me),but its their music,not ours...whatever floats their boat,I suppose.Very enjoyable,Wayne and Mike,wishing you both good health,long lives and more collaboration.
