Cultures have always exchanged ideas with each other. But sometimes the exchanges more closely resemble theft. The IPinCH project has produced a guidebook on appropriation from First Nations cultures. The Intellectual Property Issues in Cultural Heritage is based at SFU. Solen Roth was the lead developer of the guidebook. She’s an anthropologist and PhD candidate at the University of Montreal. Solen Roth speaks with Redeye host Esther Hsieh.
