RIGHTS
Audience taping is permitted at all Toubab Krewe shows. Soundboard patches
are available at the permission of the bands FOH, Steven Heller. Please
bring your own equipment, cables, and more importantly power. Be prepared
for everything and please stay out of the way of both venue staff, Toubab
Krewes management, and the members of the audience. At this time no video
taping of any kind is permitted at Toubab Krewe shows.
When Toubab Krewe is performing at a festival or other event featuring
multiple bands, that particular event's policy may override our customary
taping policy. When Toubab Krewe is opening for another artist, that
particular artist's policy may override our customary taping policy. All
taping is limited to audience only. All non-profit distribution (trading,
archive.org, peer-to-peer downloads, etc.) is acceptable.
The enjoyment of the audience in attendance at a concert always takes
precedence over recording efforts. This means that at no time should tapers
ever require other patrons to be quiet, to move, or otherwise interfere with
their enjoyment of the show.
If there is ever any question concerning the permission of taping a live
show, checking with one of the band members prior to showtime should clear
up any misunderstandings.
On December 25, 2005 Patrick Moore, the archivist for the Band Toubab Krewe, gave the OK for archive.org:
"Hello,
My name is Patrick Moore, and I am the archivist for the Band Toubab Krewe.
I would like to have Toubab's live shows hosted on the archive. I have
spoken with the band's producer and FOH, Steven Heller.
Please let me know if you have any questions or if there is anything else I
need to do. Thank you very much!"
Re: lossy files okay?
"The lossy question is not a problem. Please include the lossy files next to the lossless archived files."
