Brief but dramatic and informative
This short piece on a U.S. Army Nurse's experience during a rescue mission to P.O.W.'s at Nagasaki, Japan in September 1946 is very interesting although too brief. There is a brief reference to some POW's who, according to the author, were treated for burns suffered as a result of the atomic bomb dropped by the U.S. It's interesting that the author doesn't mention Japanese casualties with the same type of burns, nor does she mention observing damage to the city's infrastructure which must have resulted from a lengthy war and an atomic bombing. It is a great shame that this scan is so poorly done and so difficult to read.
