KCRA-TV,
virtual channel 3 (
UHF digital channel 35), is an
NBC-
affiliated television station licensed to
Sacramento,
California which began broadcasting on September 3, 1955. The station is owned by the
Hearst Television subsidiary of
Hearst Communications, as part of a
duopoly with
Stockton-licensed
MyNetworkTV affiliate
KQCA (channel 58). The two stations share studios on Television Circle in
downtown Sacramento and transmitter facilities in
Walnut Grove.
