as you can imagine so in people displaced by this tire. it does look like they have gotten the upper hand on it now but we have closures in the area particularlies this right on the corner with broadway coming into the right side of the picture, broadway completely shut down between broke street. going to be rough getting arnold this morning. if you get around to passaic avenue, no problem there. no word yet on the cause, reporting live over passaic, shannon stone, channel 7 eyewitness news. >> all right shannon thank you. and 6:08 and now to the very latest on the deadly shooting of an nypd officer in manhattan. late last night, 30-year- old tyrone howard was let out of the police precinct and into court where he was formally charged with first degree murder. prosecutors say that he shot and killed officer randolph holder during a confrontation along the fdr drive tuesday night. eyewitness news reporter mallory hoff is live in east harlem where the officer is being remembered. mallory. >> members of in community tell us that they want to celebrate

see justice served and you can see the growing memorial here outside of the precinct where flowers and candles lit in his honor. this video from late last night shows the man police say shot officer holder, tyrone howard seen here as his arraignment. physical evidence, video evidence and witnesses tie him to the shooting the nypd says. lineup was conducted to tie him to the robbery of a bicyclist minutes before the shooting. the courtroom was packed with the courtroom was packed with police, he complained saying he needed a chair after being shot in the leg by officer holder's partner. he is charged with first degree murder and robbery. hours after that court appearance at the safety the shooting in east harlem -- site of the shooting in east harlem. hundreds came out for a vigil to honor the fallen officer. after the vigil, last night at the police academy. mayor de blasio spoke about

main break so you can expect some closures as a result. new jersey turnpike southbound car lanes the ramp to exit 7 a is closed through november. so what you need to do is use the truck lanes to exit at 7 a as a result. our mass transit systems are on close to schedule. and street cleaning rules are in effect. developing right now, a new video shows the raging flames attacking an apartment building in passaic, new jersey overnight. now more than 300 people are out of their homes this morning. that near started last night on gregory avenue and then quickly destroyed the building. two firefighters suffered minor injuries. the red cross is working with the affected families. also heards are heavy across new york city today as we remember the fourth nypd officer killed in the line of duty withen the past year. officer randolph holder was shot in the head and killed tuesday night. his photo now rests beside

three of his brothers in blue outside the ninth precinct house in the east village. meanwhile, the suspect accused of murdering him went before a judge. eyewitness news reporter mallory hoff is live now in east harlem. mallory? >> reporter: lori, we've seen an incredible outpouring of the support for the fallen officer from this community. we saw it in a vigil last night and this morning in a growing memorial from the fallen officer worked. as this memorial grows, investigators are putting together a case against man they say is responsible for the death of officer holder. they say they have physical evidence, witnesses, and video evidence that ties him to this killing. tyrone howard's first taste of justice came with him shackled and handcuffed making a demand. he wanted a chair complaining his leg hurt after being shot by officer holder's partner. in a courtroom packed with police, howard was seated then slid into place. barely visible as the judge ordered him held without bail. the charges? first degree murder and robbery.

>> he's been complaining of certain chest pains -- [ bleep ] >> reporter: the woman sobbed that she was officer holder's sister and she was helped from the courtroom. for the pba this past year with four police killings is too much. >> once again, we here preparing to shoulder our brother and bring him into a church. once again, our police officers are going to have to stand by the thousands, patch to patch. that cannot happen again. >> everyone here today has been speaking of the great man that he was. >> reporter: in east harlem, where officer holder patrolled, the evening was more about unity. hundreds came out for a vigil sharing the night with holder's fellow officers. they placed flowers, candles and a wreath near the site of the shooting. >> it shows unity. it shows support for family, friends, of the fallen. it shows the support for the nypd. >> reporter: then the crowd marched to the psa 5 office
