breaking news out of chesapeake. police tell us six people are dead including a investigators tell 10 on your side this a murder-suicide. rico bush is in front of the home on wintergreen washington highway. that's where the barricade situation, that evening, ended just about an hour ago.. rico what have you learned? at 3:35 pm police responded to the 2300 block of wildwood rd. in reference to checking the welfare of an individual. upon arrival police discovered a deceased body. further investigation led police to nearby residence located at the intersection of n. george washington & wintergreen. officers negotiated with an armed subject for several hours. when officers made entry into the residence, five additional deceased bodies were located to include the suspect. all six of the deceased were related. it is believed the suspect killed family

we're back with stories about three teachers accused in separate sex crimes. first up a school administrator in norfolk is behind bars. police say 64-year-old gary jordan. who is the assistant principal at madison alternative center, made inappropriate comments to a child. it allegedly happened on january 14th, on bowden's ferry road - the same block where the school is located. police have not confirmed whether the incident happened on school property - or whether the victim is a student. still, parents in the district are disturbed. c53 pamela outsey - parent 08:59:34 "we trust them to give them a proper education - if they're the culprit, who can we trust our kids to, you understand?" c52 robert lassiter - parent 08:56:00 "you send your kids to school, you're trusting the people that holds the office in the position to do what's right." a spokeswoman with the school district said that jordan has been placed on administrative leave. he is currently in norfolk

a former teacher in hampton faces sex crime charges.. police say 25-year-old samantha quinn was involved with a 16-year-old hampton high school student last spring. officers tell us the boy discussed two incidents with another november. the school system put quinn on leave, but they say she resigned less than a month later. ((c37 49:43)) "we put our trust and faith in the juveniles. court documents reveal, the day after the school reprimanded quinn, she messaged the now 17-year-old victim and said "was it you?" -- referring to whoever contacted police. we expect a middle school teacher from perquimans county to be in court today for a hearing. don't show mug shot police charged darrell walker for sex crimes which did not involve students. court documents reveal a man told deputies he agreed to do landscaping at walker's house in elizabeth city. instead -- he says walker

deputies arrested him that night, and school officials alerted parents the next day. they do not believe he has done anything with students. a fire forced a family of four in virginia beach to find a new place to stay. this is new video from the scene on sedgemoor road. that's near wesleyan drive and diamond springs road. firefighters tell us medics treated an adult on the scene for minor injuries. they also said the home has signifcant damage. we're working to learn what caused the fire. now to developing news about the water crisis in flint, michigan. governor rick snyder says officials found about two-hundred children with elevated lead levels in their blood. this happened after the state switched the area's water to save money. the mayor says residents should not have to pay for water they can not use. show guy with glasses the mayor also hired this guy. marc edwards is a professor at virginia tech whose testing helped expose the toxic water problem. the

traffic alert. elizabeth river tunnels says it will shut down the midtown tunnel, in both directions, for the weekend. it's for crews to safely remove the elizabeth river trail pedestrian bridge that goes over u-s 58 in norfolk. e-r-c and v-dot will close the midtown tunnel tomorrow night starting at 8:00. the tunnel is expected to reopen monday morning at five. as an alternative, you can use the downtown tunnel to get between portsmouth and norfolk. the coast guard says the locally based cutter northland will sail home today. the portsmouth-based cutter has been on a two month patrol of the eastern pacific. it's mission was to counter drug trafficking over the holidays. these are pictures of the crew seizing part of the 75-hundred kilos of drugs it took during it's two month mission. today virginia beach will offer support and resources to hundreds of
