call came in around 2:20 this morning. troopers say they found a woman lying on i-64 west at the off-ramp to northampton boulevard. she had some kind of injury, and paramedics took her to sentara norfolk general. we're working to find out more about how she was hurt, and how she ended up there. look for updates during our next two hours of news. a viewer sent us this picture showing the scene of a motorcycle accident. it happened in chesapeake -- near kempsville road and greenbrier parkway. dispatchers say paramedics responded around 2:30 -- but they couldn't confirm if anyone was hurt. the involved. police now say a man killed his mom in norfolk. that's new information on a shooting we first told you about saturday morning on wavy-dot-com. police arrested 22-year-old shawn hunter. they say he shot his mom several times. police westcliff took 43-year-old sonya hunter to the hospital, where she later died. three kids were near the scene, but police

found in the lafayette river. police say his name was david isaac -- and he was 25 years old. we first told you about this friday afternoon, when some teenagers saw his body and called 9-1-1. norfolk police pulled him out. they say the medical examiner is still working to find out how he died. people who live in portsmouth will get the chance to speak directly to city leaders. the city held the first of three input sessions saturday. 10 on your side's joe fisher listened to residents at woodrow wilson high school. they told officials what they'd like to see prioritized in the city budget next year. seventy percent said public safety is the most important issue. most said they want to see improvement in police and fire services. dr. lydia pettis-patton/portsmouth in everything we do. in the schools, in the community, everyone wants that." everyone wants that...but not everyone is willing to pay. that issue is coming up

news. plus, how you can share your ideas with the city. we are now just a day away from the iowa caucuses. and in the last major poll, hillary clinton and donald trump are on top. the bloomberg-des moines register poll shows the democratic race is close to a dead heat. clinton leads by three percent over vermont senator bernie sanders. that is within the polls margin of error. on the republican side, donald trump leads ted cruz by five points. marco rubio is third, 15 points behind trump. the candidates got in some last minute campaigning before the voters go to the polls tommorrow. donald trump was in davenport, iowa raising money for a fund that helps wounded warriors get service dogs. liberty university president jerry falwell junior joined him. falwell recently endorsed trump for the republican nomination. at the event, trump talked about missing the last debate and his relationship with fox news. men as they tried to rob we've learned much more about a robbery in hampton we first told you about friday night. police say a store employee shot two men as they tried to rob him. 18-year-old timothy johnson died at the scene. the other suspect had to be taken to the hospital, but he's going to make it. hampton police say this all started around 6:20 friday night at the gift card atm store on west mercury boulevard. investigators say the store employee was legally carrying the gun when he shot the two suspects. so he won't face any charges. we expect to learn more about the suspect who survived, once he's out of the hospital. police in jacksonville,

killed a 22 month old boy in a drive-by shooting. authorities say the little boy got caught in the middle of the shooting. it happened friday night near a sports complex. investigators say the baby was in the car with his mother and grandmother, when another car drove up. the people inside started shooting at a nearby home. but several bullets went into the car, hitting the boy in the shoulder and stomach. paramedics took him to the hospital, where he died. l/jacksonville, florida/friday:02 (tom hackney/jacksonville sheriff's dept.:11 ) "multiple times. a 22-month-old, little baby boy shot multiple times. the senselessness of it can't be overstated." no one else was hurt in the shooting. police say they are pouring their resources into finding out who killed the little after two motorcycle gangs started shooting at each other at a motorcycle expo in denver. denver police say gunfire broke out and a stabbing happened at the event. five people total were wounded, including the person who died. our affiliate in

police in georgia say three people died in a small plane crash. the plane went down and caught on fire it took off from southwest georgia regional airport yesterday afternoon. the three victims were the only people on board. there still isn't any indication as to what went wrong. police say federal officials will try to figure that out. saturday albany, ga faa and the ntsb. they have been notified and they information will be available. right now, we have a critical stress team incident counselor that's talking to the family." officials closed the

in damascus. government officials say terrorists set the bomb off at a bus terminal. then two suicide bombers blew themselves up as medics tried to help the wounded. it's not clear what group is behind the bombing. it's also not clear yet how this will affect peace talks between syrian pesident bashar al-assad and the opposition. they're in geneva for talks to attempt to end the syrian civil war. syria's main opposition group arrived for peace talks in geneva yesterday. they say they are eager to negotiate and end the war. a 17 member delegation from the opposition group is expected to have a meeting with a u-n mediator today. the group reversed a boycott and agreed to attend the u-n sponsored talks. their absence would have threatened to wreck the first attempt in two years to find a diplomatic solution to the syrian civil war. the opposition group says it wants to talk about humanitarian issues before engaging in the peace talks. s/ salim al-muslat/ syrian opposition negotiations but at least we should see something, you know, on the ground, there in syria. we should really stop these
