a sex-discrimation lawsuit against a local shipyard is taking a big step foward this morning. b-a-e systems norfolk ship repair to federal court, are asking a judge to grant final approval of a settlement today. if it's approved, the lawsuit will cost the company millions of dollars. 10 on your side's rico bush is live outside the norfolk federal courthouse. rico, walk us through the case. lex, don, a decision today could end a long legal battle for b-a-e systems after nearly 200 women sued the company for sex discrimination. the lawsuit dates back several years. in 20-13, the workers took the shipyard to federal court for pay and

caught in a bad we're back with big economic news for hampton roads. norfolk city council approved the money to entice data processing company a-d-p to relocate. the vote allows the economic development five-million dollars to

company to move into downtown norfolk, and bring thousands of new jobs with it. the relocation isn't a done deal just yet. a-d-p still needs to make the decision to move, and right now there is no timeline for when that could happen. in the wake of corruption charges against norfolk city treasurer anthony burfoot, a city councilman is hoping to figure out what went wrong. andy protogyrou is calling for an audit of city policies and procedures. he wants the city auditor to look over burfoot's indictment and see if any policies need to addressed. he provided a copy of his memo to council at last night's work session furnished to the auditor. it also says, these questions are only raised for you to do your job. and then in turn, to raise other questions, so we can come up with answers ultimately. burfoot faces public corruption and perjury charges dating back to his time on city council. new this morning, the department of justice is threatening legal action

ferguson for what it calls an "unnecessary delay". last night council voted to amend an agreement with the d-o-j over changes to the ferguson police department and municipal courts. the mayor said last night council is not taking anything out of the agreement, but just adding safeguards to it. there were also concerns about the cost of the reforms. :17 - :33 "it's time to stop. just go ahead and sign the decree. you still haven't settle the mike brown settlements. you've got more money to spend. you're paying more lawyers. it's time to stop all this 'ferguson's going under stuff' and get it done. just sign it." council reached an agreement with the d-o-j last month after the department found ferguson police were discriminating against black citizens. if the d-o-j doesn't go along with council's changes, ferguson could face a civil rights lawsuit. the now infamous royal caribbean cruise ship that got tossed around at sea is expected back later tonight. it's scheduled

around 9:00 after it hit a storm off the coast of cape hatteras sunday. that same storm that damaged parts of n-c 12, tossed around the more than two- thousand people onboard the ship. the crew confined passengers to their rooms. the storm produced 30-foot waves. now to new developments with the zika virus and its impact on the upcoming summer games. the u-s olympic committee says athletes and staff worried about the zika virus in brazil should consider not going to the games in rio de janiero in august. the c-d-c moved to its highest alert level over zika. however experts at the national institutes of health says its difficult to give athletes advice about going or not going to the games. they say all they can do is give people the facts and let them decide on their own. it's a different story for athletes in kenya. officials there say they might pull out of this year's games because of the zika virus. the head of kenya's olympic committee said the country would not risk the safety of its athletes if the outbreak reached "epidemic levels".

later this morning, a norfolk federal judge is expected to decide on a settlement against a norfolk shipyard. the case is against b-a-e norfolk systems ship repair. nearly 200 women sued for sex discrimination. it could carry big price tag for the shipyard, which has contracts with navy. rico bush is live outside the federal courthouse in norfolk with more on the class-action lawsuit. rico. don, lex, if the judge approves the settlement, it means b-a-e will avoid a trial that could have brought attention to widespread allegations of sexual harassment and discrimination that dated back for years. in 20-13, nearly 2-hundred women filed a class-action lawsuit against the shipyard, allegeding they suffered pay and promotion discrimination and experienced sexual
