i love this time of year. it is a beautiful morning. you might want to take a light jacket with you. the barometric pressure is 30.01. it will be around 80 today. under mostly sunny skies. we do have a little bit of rain in the seven-day forecast and three tropical storms to talk about. first we say good morning to sarah. >> we have quite a bit happening. and on the inner loop at the key bridge, there is an accident and taking up the right lane as you approach mid span. that is on the inner loop of the key bridge. northbound 95, a disabled tractor-trailer to watch for. richie avenue and ninth avenue, an accident in brooklyn. be careful as police response to that. 53 miiles per hour on southbound
95. 56 on the north side. 50 on the west side. this is the accident scene on the inner loop of the key bridge. it is completely jammed approaching that scene. state to the left but watch those delays. you might want to consider the harbor tunnel or fort mchenry as an alternate. that is the latest on traffic pulse 11. >> our big story, it was expected to be one of the fiercest battles of the election season. >> the votes were counted late into the night. with 100% of the vote in, it appears patricia jessamy will lose. jennifer franciotti is live at mitchell courthouse with more on the story. >> those votes were counted well into the night and into the
early morning hours. unofficially the votes came in votes1:45 am. it looks like with all precincts reporting, greg bernstein has 49% of the vote. gregg bernstein leads by 1421 votes. early on, patricia jessamy supporters tuesday evening were keeping a positive attitude about the race. the race swung back and forth. when she showed up to thank everyone, she said she was feeling pretty confident about the race. the bernstein campaign was enthusiastic and costcautiously optimistic about the results. many took the day off to support bernstein. bernstein talked a little bit
about why he was able to make such headway in such a short time leading up to the election. >> it gets to the level of frustration people were feeling about living in one of america's most dangerous cities. i do not know if it is a question of what patricia jessamy did or did not do. it was pants up frustration. >> bernstein did when the primary for city-state's attorney position. he told 11 news he did not have any plans for today pending the outcome of the election. we'll see how the day unfolds before hearing from bernstein himself. jennifer franciotti, wbal-tv 11 news. >> the vote is still out as to see who will win another position. as you can see, kevin kamenetz is leading with 52% of the
votes. we have team coverage and we begin with deborah weiner. >> kevin kamenetz said it was impossible to project a winner or loser at this time because of problems with precincts and computers. kamenetz addressed supporters and sounded hopeful. >> you make me feel great. the voters of baltimore county are making me feel great. all of our signs are positive. we are running better than expected in almost every part of the county. >> the campaign is not expecting solid numbers until afternoon. plans for the whole state remained unclear. debra winger, wbal-tv 11 news. >> the numbers have been trickling in slowly -- deborah weiner, wbal-tv 11 news.

single shot. he did not know harris had been shot until police arrived. he told a different account from his original statements to police. >> very important discrepancies, the number of people involved, what the people did, their location. it is significant and hopefully we can expose that. >> his testimony will resume this morning. >> a pair of arrest in a stabbing murder in hampstea two people are accused of killing another in the stairwell outside his apartment. police say he was stabbed in the chest and later died. investigators working to get to the bottom of a deadly shooting in southeast baltimore. the victim was found blocks from the county line.

major hurricane. then we have carl which was just named yesterday. it will emerge into the southern part of the gulf of mexico tomorrow. here a home, mostly sunny. upper 70's to around 80 today. sunrise coming up and6:48. the clouds will thicken up tomorrow. we will see a chance for some scattered thunderstorms tomorrow. there could be some rain hat left early on friday. it looks like a nice touch of summer this weekend. 80 on saturday and 84 on sunday. let's check on the roads with sarah. >> we have an accident still being cleared on the inner loop of the key bridge. you can see the delays. it is blocking the right lane.

lead. jennifer franciotti is live with more on the story. good morning. >> patricia jessamy and gregg bernstein battled back and forth. let's take a look at the numbers. with all 290 precincts reporting, it looks like bernstein has 49% of the vote to jessamy's 47%. supporters or in a good mood early tuesday evening. they were celebrating the woman and her career. many here were hopeful the city state's attorney would get another term. jessamy was optimistic. >> it has been a pleasure. i am very happy, very confident. >> supporters of gregg bernstein rallied to watch the returns. many work workers who spent the day at the precinct. lawyers, france, and police
officers who took the day off to support bernstein. he talked about how his campaign was able to gain some much traction in a short period of time. >> i think what made this race became such a focal point was it tapped into the level of frustration that people were feeling about living in one of america's most dangerous cities. i don't know if it's a question of what patricia jessamy did or did not go. it is frustration with crime in this city. public safety is an important right. after 15 years, the people of baltimore would like to see change. >> bernstein emerges with a lead of 1421 votes. this race would be important to jessamy in terms of voter turnout. there was a low turnout of 13.6%. reporting live , jennifer
franciotti, wbal-tv 11 news. >> it looks like it will be several hours until we hear a have the declared winner. kevin kamenetz has 52% of the vote and bartenfelder has 44% of the votes. >> governor martin o'malley easily won the democratic nomination last night. he thanked supporters for their vote of confidence. >> i am looking forward to this contest. it will be a choice about whether we move forward or whether we slip back. i believe the people of the state will choose to move forward. >> meanwhile, sarah palin is endorsement of brian murphy did not seem to do much to change the voters of maryland.

around 9:00 a.m. friday morning. he handed a teller a note demanding money. he fled on foot. if you think you know who this man is, you are asked to call metro crime stoppers. >> the recent outbreak of bedbugs has led to it lawsuit at a local apartment complex. one woman has decided to sue after the bugs left her with permit bite scars. the management has not commented on the lawsuit. even after the pardon was exterminated, the bugs were still there paper she was out of the apartment while they were performing the process. when she came back, they reappeared and she found them in other locations in her apartment. she was disgusted by it and very upset. >> the lawson is asking for $100,000 in damages.

office. jennifer franciotti joins us live from mitchell courthouse to explain. >> the race has not been called, but let's look at the numbers. with all 290 precincts reporting in, it looks like gregg bernstein leads the race with 1004 -- 21 votes over patricia jessamy. that is 49that to hurt 47%. supporters were feeling pretty good and keeping positive about the race. when the city state's attorney showed up, she said she was feeling confident. the bernstein campaign was cautiously optimistic about the election results. many supporters spent the day at the precinct. many police officers who had taken the day off to support bernstein. this was the democratic primary.
