a call came in. it happened near the intersection of reisterstown road near the mall. >> the bus driver brought the coach to rest here by the mall, and there were officers here scheduled for their regular after school duty. people on the bus were saying there was -- the officers were able to board the bus and get the individuals off. >> all three victims were taken to area hospitals, and they are expected to survive. >> in a separate incident, police are asking for help in finding a suspect. they have released a sur failans video. if you recognize the man in this picture, you are asked to call baltimore city police. >> testimony continues in the trial of three men accused in the murder of ken harris. much of yesterday's questioning

focused on prior witness statements. barry sims has been following the trial and is at the courthouse. >> she told jurors on september 20, 2008. i thought i was going to die. like other bar workers, she described the tror she felt when the people came in and stole her purse. in short, she responded "that's my weed" when asked about marijuana found in the purse. she said gloves and a bandana did not belong to her. they asked her about the murder and the actions of the club owner. >> in one of the statements she said mr. harris called the bar before he came, and mr. covington's testimony was he

didn't call the bar. also miss showers in one of her statements said mr. harris went out of the bar first and then three or four seconds later, mr. covington went out bar. >> she said as the robbers approached, he was ordered at gun point to go back into the bar and hand over the club's cash. mcgehny and williams are accused of robbing the bar. she said, i was upset. the robbers covered their hands with gloves. >> she never brought up the fact that somebody huh gloves on until she met with the state detective back in june of 2009. even though she could have said at least two times somebody had gloves on. even when they showed her gloves pulled out of her burs, she still never had that ah-ha

mostly clear skies. there are a few high, thin clouds up in pennsylvania. it is going to be a beautiful sunrise. you will see a lot of sunshine during the day. the closest precipitation is out in the day. but one thing i want to point out here, for the first time this season, i am seeing snow show up on radar across north dakota and parts of montana. it is chilly up there. we're starting to get arctic air to move south out of canada here. this front will come through tomorrow night. in the short term, high pressure will be in control, so we'll see a lot of sunshine today, and temperatures will climb in the upper 70's to around 80 he is. let me give you a quick update on the tropics. this is hurricane igor. the others are dissipating. julia is a tropical storm, so julia is a player. it is a category 2 hurricane. it is expected to cross right over bermuda late tomorrow and into tomorrow night. now, if the i of the storm passes to the west of bermuda, they are going to get the brunt

of it, and there is going to be serious damage on the island. as a matter of fact, they will probably get rain and tropical storm conditions tonight and tomorrow morning. obviously if you have travel plans to bermuda, will you want to watch what happens with igor. we will get dangerous rip currents. the high temperature between 75 and 80. sunrise coming up at 6:50. mostly clear tonight and cool again. about the same as last night. temperatures between 51 and 61. sunset at 10 -- the front comes through monday night and back to 82 on tuesday. mid 80's at the end of the week. summer will try to make a comeback, wednesday, thursday, and friday. we'll see scattered thunderstorms over that time as well. back to the news desk. >> the american heart association wants you to take a walk with them and do your heart some good. details in medical alert.

in south baltimore. we come back in a few minutes and look at the seven-day forecast and give you an update on the tropyickeds and let you know what igor is doing right now. >> taking a look at some of our top stories. a soldier from baltimore has died in iraq. john berner iii leaves behind his wife and children ages 6 and 10. >> a man in critical condition after being hit by a car. the man was on a bike in the area of harford road in northeast baltimore. he was rushed to johns hopkins. the driver did stay at the scene. the accident is under investigation. >> also in the city, officers say they were forced to shoot a pit bull while making an arrest at the western police station. the dog became aggressive while the officers were trying to take

its owners into custody. that doctor did not die. animal control is now investigating. >> covering the world. an unbelievable sight in turkey. a mother and baby were at the park. she said he must have woken up and wandered off. drivers barreled past. finally a truck driver saw the baby and blocked traffic until the mother ran out to the highway and picked him up. the little boy was not hurt, the mother was questioned by police, but no charges filed. >> british police arrested six men in an alleged threat against pope benedict who is on a visit to the u.k. one man worked at a garbage

depot. a vatican spokesperson said the pope was calm and had no schedule changes in his visit. >> stunning very well lts out of washington state. police say a woman that claimed she was a victim of an acid attack and it was all made up. her burns were self-inflicted. authorities said over the course of the investigation several discrepancies surfaced. investigators then issued a search warrant. there they seized a number of items and it was there they confessed to making it all up. >> you look at the pattern, you look at the time of night, would people be wearing sun glasses, et cetera, twaul it was all the things people would not make up. she originally said she was attacked by an african-american woman. despite regret, she could face

scattered thunderstorms monday and tuesday. >> almost five months bp engineers say by today they were able to seal the well. >> it is the worst oil spill in history, but sealing the well won't be the work along the gulf coast. jay gray has more from louisiana. >> in the gulf right now, cement is flowing instead of oil. it will take about 5,000 gallons of cement to do the job, pumped in through the primary relief well brought in almost 13,000 feet below the coast. >> we are denoblizing equipment
