leak in howard county. a four-inch gas line was struck by a contractor. utility crews secured the scene around 10:00 a.m.. there are still working to return service. surrounding homes have been evacuated as a precaution. no injuries have been reported. we will bring you more as it becomes available. a trusted official is off the job after possession of child pornography. .hat is our story a c police are investigating michael scott wilson, a man thought to be a stand-up figure. kim dacey is at headquarters with a closer look of the investigation. >> the transportation security administration took a lot of

heat when an officer singled out a six-year-old for a pat down in april, but a baltimore area screener is facing charges for something off the clock, child pornography, following a search of his home. >> i think it is shocking and disturbing to find out someone is living so close, particularly someone in toyota in this capacity. >> wilson is married with no children. he was recently arrested and released on bail. no one answered the door at his townhouse. neighbors had a lot to say. >> i travel a lot. to think one of those screeners could be undercharges like that, it is alarming. >> they do three-dimensional body scans, where they could see a lot, and to learned someone in the community not only lives closely, but is employed in a capacity where he has the capability of seeing other

it was in west baltimore. no word on the victim's age or identity. police are investigating a deadly shooting that happened on monday night in baltimore. a 37-year-old man was shot several times. he was taken to shock trauma, where he later died. no word on a motive. meantime -- a peaceful street in an east baltimore community comes to an end after a man was shot and killed near the intersection of belnord avenue and orleans street. kevin pierre became the first homicide victim in the area in 280 days. >> clouds are in place across the state as the next storm system heads our way. for now, most of the rain is south of the state of maryland and sprinkles are popping up in

virginia. 70 degrees at the airport. the wind is out of the east at 10 miles per hour. for rock the day, a better chance for sprinkles -- throughout the day, a better chance for sprinkles, and rain more likely for the night. we'll continue to look at the radar when we come back for the insta-weather-plus forecast. >> police have a man in custody for a knife-point robbery. they say he forcefully took money from a victim from the pockets before fleeing on foot. police reported seeing him nearby and were able to apprehend him. he faces multiple robbery and assault charges. a bail review is suspected for a woman accused of the bleach attack. police say she threw bleach and ammonia and another woman. the building had to be evacuated and 19 people were taken to the hospital. jefferson faces first and second degree charges.

headed to trial. farouk abdulmutallab is accused of trying to bring down the plane within the explosive device hidden in his underwear. >> in a courthouse and court room locked down by heavy security, the alleged under were bombers took his seat at the defense table. he faces eight charges including conspiracy to commit terrorism, attempted murder, and attempted use of a weapon of mass destruction after the fbi says was an attempt to detonate explosives hidden in his underwear in 2009. the self-proclaimed al-qaida operative will defend themselves but left -- let a standby lawyer make his defense. they will say he never tried to kill anyone and explosives were not powerful enough to take down the plane, and instead try to draw attention to his extremist

believes. prosecutors will counter with physical evidence. they will surely call on what they described as a plane full of witnesses, and explosive experts to testify about the potential. there will also use his own words from a 50-minute interview when he told federal agents details of the plot and his intentions, which they say were to kill the 292 people on board that christmas day flight. >> a test vote is scheduled in the senate today for president obama's latest jobs plan. the american jobs act would cut payroll taxes for workers and employers, but republicans say it is nothing but recycled

it is showing the trend as we head into the afternoon. it is all coming in with a more substantial storm system in florida right now. the moisture ahead of it is going from the outer banks through tennessee and into the mid-atlantic. that will be the trend throughout the day. temperature-wise, we are pretty mild. it is not that bad of a fall day. 70 at bwi. 74 at the inner harbor. 64 in frederick. low-60's troske prepared 74 is frostburg. 74 is the high for today. central maryland will get the wet weather to award the evening. rain becomes more likely into the night, especially after

midnight, where some of the rain could be heavy. we will be cloudy throughout the night. with all of that cloud cover, temperatures will not drop off too much. 65 downtown, opera-50's in the suburbs. in the afternoon, it will effect the southern curve of the state, and will come in to write the next 24 hours with more substantial shots for rain wednesday evening and into thursday. the seven-day forecast shows us what is happening here. rain pushes in late tonight, heaviest tomorrow, maybe some thunder tomorrow afternoon, and if we get a thunderstorm it could bring heavy rain for some areas. rain starts to taper off late wednesday night into thursday. another round thursday night, and that could last into friday morning. been a warming trend for the
