new problems that develop. in nice start on 100 as you make your way from 295. 11 minutes on the northeast outer loop. that is the latest on traffic pulse 11. >> fire officials are still on the scene trying to determine what sparked a fire in northern baltimore county. this was in jacksonville, a single-family home was on fire. officials say a man was found in the home and pronounced dead at the scene. police investigating an early- morning shooting in west baltimore. an adult man was found suffering
from a gunshot wound just before 1:00 a.m. this morning. the police made their 1,000th gun arrest of the year. this was a p.m. last night for reports of a home invasion. the suspect was carrying -- this was at 8:00 p.. last night. >> if we can improve the lives as we go into the legislative time, this is an opportunity and an example. if we were together, we can make a dramatic difference. >> stephanie rawlings-blake was also on hand. >> gunfire inside a baltimore hospital emergency room. it happened on wednesday
afternoon in towson. that is where jennifer franciotti joins us with more details. >> everything seems to be back to normal at st. joseph's medical center. the suspect was under arrest and under police escort. he was receiving some sort of medical treatment. he had a needle in his possession. the officer intervened. the president tried to grab the gun. the gun went off. one bullet hit the wall. no one was hurt. >> either by the weapon or by pepper spray that the officer discharged in an attempt to subdue this prisoner. >> police have not released the prisoners identity. the suspect was under arrest facing burglary charges. more information coming up live
at 5:30. jennifer franciotti, wbal-tv 11 news. >> a mother accused of murdering her son is now out of the hospital and in police custody. nicole fitzgerald was charged with first and second-degree murder. she killed her son and then cut her own throat. a police officer in charge in the death of a teenager returns to court today. he is charged with manslaughter in the death of christopher brown. police say there was a confrontation back in june. his trial is set to begin on tuesday. >> mayor stephanie rawlings-
blake is standing by the program. three cameras were erroneously issuing tickets. the mayor said the rate is less than 4%. >> we are putting additional things in place, checks and balances, trying to figure out what those breakdowns happened so we can reduce that down to zero. >> the mayor put together a task force to review the program. >> the three casinos earned over $40 million last month. maryland alive accounted for $34 million of that total. hollywood casino generated

police say one of the officers was escorting a prisoner that was there to get medical treatment. >> it was discovered this prisoner had some kind of needle in his possession. >> it is not clear what kind of middle it was. the prisoner attempted to grab a staff member but the officer intervened. the president tried to grab the gun and a gun shot off one bullet into a wall and nobody was hurt. >> either by the weapon or by pepper spray that the officer discharged in an attempt to subdue this prisoner. moret it didn't work and officers were called in to get everything under control. moving patients in the e are at the shooting to other parts of the hospital. everything seems to be back to normal here at the hospital. the prisoners identity has not
