morning against a man who escaped custody from district c. court.he was shot by officers... but that didn't stop him. him.tom rodgers is here with more on how the chase finally ended... plus your other top stories of the morning. tavon williams made it to the parking lot outside the wabash courthhuse... before officers opened fire. 8:32:00 ambulance leaving 8:43:57 i hate the police they don't help us they kill us that was william's fiance... who is still upset..t all started yesterday morning... when williams was in district court.he was arrested for a warrant on a traffic violation. but when he asked to use the restroom... the hundcuffs came off... and he toof off. 8:49:39 were now being told the suspect jumped in the vehicle backed up and tried to run the officer over ;45 the officer then opened fire... hitting williams in the arm.still... he managed to drive away from the scene and a chase began.williams was apprehended more than three miles away.the officer involved... a 38-year veteran... was not hurt but

has been placed on administrative leave. vigils continue in wisconsin for the victims of sunday's shooting at a sikh temple. temple.five men aad one woman were killed in the rampage. investigators are looking into whether the suspect... wade michael page ... had ties to white supremacist groups. page's former step-mother is devastated to think he could something like this. spent the past year at a federal prison in missouri... being forcibly medicated and undergoing psychiatric treatment.the plea is expected to happen... if a judge finds him competent to stand trial. we now know the source of a carbon monoxide leak that sent eight people to the hospital mo. monday.fox45 was on the scene shortly after fire crews were called to the city's main post office downtown because someone fell inside the building.when they arrived on the scene, firefighters found high levels of carbon monoxide and more than 60 other employees began complaining of symptoms.the leak was traced back to generators outside the building... which were activated during a power outage a few hours earlier. frightening pictures show just how close one washington state teen came to death... after a fence board went through his wi. windshield.the board crashed through the driver's side window... barely missing the teen after he ran off the road saturday.it even looks like it bent part of the steering wheel.police say the 18- year-old was átext messagingá just before the crash.

3 crews continue to make repairs to that major water main break in downtown baltimore. since that break 3 weeks ago... cars have been re-directed around light street between baltimore and lombard street.the department of public works says the pipe should be repaired by the end of the week. the street will then need to be repaved.. but should be open by august 20. employees at one of our nation's biggest tourist attractions are charged with stealing from visitors. investigators arrested three parking lot attendants saturday at the smithsonian's national air and space museum in chantilly.they say cameras caught the trio stealing parking fees by repeatedly unplugging electronic vehicle counters to manipulate the total.they would then pocket the 15-dollar parking fee.the museum says it cost them at least 4-hundred thousand dollars.the trio faces up to 10 years in prison if

convicted. it was anything but a smooth take-off for southwest airlines... during an online "half-off" fare promo. promotion. over the weekend thousands who bought tickets were overcharged. some were charged for dozens of tickets.one woman took to facebook to complain that southwest debited her account for more than 19-thousand dollars. southwest airlines says a "computer glitch" was the culprit... and worked to resolve the issues... and even that.. frustrated some customers.
