aevermann joins us live from st. joseph covent in milwaukee with a look ahead. kyle? this morning's funeral service will be lead by archbishop jerome listecki. sister held was a nurse practitioner... and was part of "school sisters of saint francis" for 49 years. she taught high school in kenosha in the early 70's and still has family here in wisconsin. sisters 'paula merrill' and 'margaret held' were doing charity work in mississippi when they were killed. police say 46 year old the stabbing...he's been arrsted and charged.those who knew the sister held say she was a kind compassionate woman.. 3 "it's hard to imagine that one who served the poor, untiringly, day and night sometimes, that her life would be taken in this violent way." way.""that was her ministry, that was her life, so as a

extraordinary rates of violent crime that are afflicting us 3 3 chief flynn also called milwaukee a firearm-rich environment. he says... the department has seized 15-hundred firearms so far this year. an outside review has determined madison police did nothing wrong with the arrest of an 18-year-old black woman ... that sparked protests after footage was posted online. this is the video ...when police arrested genele laird in june ...outside of a man say she displayed a knife while confronting someone she thought ... stole her phone. video of the arrest sparked protests alleging excessive use of force and discrimination by madison police. in the video, police officers struggle with laird and punch her as they take her to the ground and handcuff her. the review says police acted reasonably and within department policies looking ahead this morning... there's a ?unique? event happening today to raise money for special olympics athletes in wisconsin.

yesterday reporting problems with busing and missing kids. one of those mothers was shaena davis -- she tells us she was wondering for hours where her son was when he didn't get home on time from hawley environmental school. her son tashawn was brought to an old address -- even though she says she updated his information. ms davis wasnt reunited with her son until three hours after his scheduled home arrival time. she says she was given his ?new? bus number, bus stop and what time he'd be dropped off, but thinks the information wasn't passed around t to get on the right bus, but people at school said that wasn't correct.so...he was going round and round on the wrong bus for two and a half hours. tashawn carter, son "at 6:30 we started moving...and i was about to start crying...but i knew i was gonna get home eventually."shaena davis, mother "i almost crashed, i felt like i was gonna pass out, i was just thinking like lord, bring me my baby back." the school district couldn't comment on this instance, but
