police are searching for a suspect involved in a hit and r. run. police say a car hit a man and took off.. around 1:30 this morning near atkinson and capitol.a 45-year-old man who'd reportedly been drinking.. was walking in the street when he was hit by a car.we're told that car did not stop. the man was responsive when officers got to the scene.he was taken to a local hospital and is expected to be ok.police are now looking for the maroon or red four-door vehicle responsible. family of a milwaukee county ?jail inmate?... can't understand how he ?died inside his cell.?the medical examiner ruled... terrill thomas' death a ?homicide?--- saying he died from "profound de-hydration." hydration."thomas was in jail for nine days... before correctional officers found him ?unresponsive? in his cell. according to the medical examiner's report--- he was found ?naked?--- with no mattress... no blankets... and the water to the toilet ?turned off.?it was apparently due to his quote--- "destructive behavior."the

15-th... after ?firing his gun multiple times? on the gaming floor of "potawatomi casino." he was ordered to have a psych exam... to see if he was ?fit to stand trial.? 129 id say the employees responsible for his care, for making sure he had water, for checking onhim and ultimately the sheriff. right now were angry, terrells death could have been prevented. the report gives us no relief. but we do wwant to know what is mke coutny going to do to ensure that this wont happen agn again the milwaukee county sheriff... will ?not? comment on the case. the milwaukee police department is now ?taking over? this investigation. family members say... they plan to hold a ?memorial? for thomas once the investigation is complete. the son of milwaukee county's medical examiner has died from a possible drug overdose. according the the m-e's report... a friend called in the overdose earlier this week. week.emergency responders reportedly gave 29-year-old adam peterson narcan... but it didn't work.one organization working with men in recovery..

report shows there were more than 70 overdose deaths in milwaukee county -- just in the last 7 weeks. "by no means are we getting used to hearing about our young people dying because of this drug - but being in the position that i am i get it from all angles. right now i'm working with a young lady who could have been the number 13 on the weekend where all these people died of the heroin overdoses. she's in the hospital rig the milwaukee county medical examiner is not commenting on his son's death. it's been nearly ?two years?... since a five-year-old milwaukee girl was ?hit and killed? by a stray bullet while sitting on her grandfather's lap. today a ?peace garden? will be dedicated in honor of laylah petersen.community members say... it will be a "beacon of hope"... to celebrate her beautiful life. a ?similar? peace garden was started last month... to remember "za'layia jenkins." the nine-year-old was ?also? hit by a stray bullet... as she was watching t-v. police
