news if you travel between the hale and zoo interchanges for the morning commute. the hwy 100 on ramp to i-43 at the hale interchange is now open. also open is the national ave. on ramp to i-894 northbound. finally the zipper merge between national ave. and greenfield ave. is from his jail cell--- he lost his job with the milwaukee police department... and has since become the ?target of public scorn.? scorn.?and today - former officer dominique heaggan-brown - the officer who shot and killed sylville smith in august - returns to a milwaukee county courtroom. cbs 58's julie parise has been following this case. she joins us live from the newsroom with a look ahead. julie? dominique heaggan-brown is facing charges of sexual assault prostitution.today he'll face a milwaukee judge for his arraignment. heaggan-brown was arrested last month after criminal charges were filed against him. the 24-year-old is now facing both a criminal and internal investigation. he is accused

and paying for sex with two others. the most recent alleged crime happened just after the deadly shooting of syville smith.earlier this week smith was fired from his job with the milwaukee police department. after the allegations against him became public, police chief said the investigation of heaggan-brown will not affect the investigation into the shooting of syville smith. it doesnt you know specifically relate to the case, im sure many people will draw a connection i mean the issues surrounding that shooting is going to have to be decided ont he of the shooting and the context of the events of which it occured. not the character of the individdual who did the shooting haeggan-brown is set to appear in court today at 8:30 a-mstay with cbs 58 for the latest on this developing storylive in the newsroom im jp cbs 58 new this morning...milwaukee police are investigating two overnight shootings. in one case... a 45-year-old woman arrived at a hospital with a gunshot wound. but police say her stories to hospital staff

consistent.in another.. police say a 34-year-old man was shot while walking to his home near 88th and capitol. a friend took him to a hospital.in both cases... police say they're looking for suspects. looking ahead--- one of three men charged in the death of a five-year-old milwaukee girl... learns his fate today. "laylah petersen" was shot back in 20-14.... while sitting on her grandfather's lap."paul farr" is the man accused of being the getaway driver for two other men accused of shooting a t the house.it took about a ?year? before "farr".... "carl barrett"... and "arliss pleded guilty to two counts of ?harboring and aiding a felon.? a sentencing hearing is at 8-15 3 the milwaukee woman convicted of driving a stolen car through a red light and killing two men last decemebr... also faces sentencing today.jasmine ray entered into a plea deal last month. the greenfield police department is using a new system to track crime in near real-time. twice a day... every day... data is sent to crime-reports- dot-com. by clicking an icon on the map-- the community can see what's happening around

3 the death of a southside teen.... who was hit by a school bus wednesday morning has been ruled an accident. 17-year-old marisol was hit while walking across the street at 9th and oklahoma early yesterday morning.she was in the crosswalk, but also wearing dark clothes.the report says rain and the dark contributed to her death.the bus company says the 62 year old driver had a spotless record for 25 years until this. this will have you thinking cold weather and wa starts its annual red kettle campaign today. cbs 58's kyle aevermann joins us live in downtown milwaukee where we'll soon hear a familiar sound!good morning, kyle! the red kettle campaign will offiicaly kicks off at 7 o'clock here this morning at the milwaukee public market. the money raised through the red kettle campaign is used to support salvation army programs throughout the year

now to a developing story... milwaukee police are searching for the suspect involved in an overnight shooting on milwaukee's northside. it happened around 10:50 last night.. near west capitol drive and north 88th street. police say a 34-year-old man was walking into his home when the suspect fired multiple gunshots at him. the man was taken to the hospital. 3 the former police officer accused of sexual assault and prostitution will face a milwaukee judge today. dominique haeggan-brown was fired m this week in the wake of the investigation. cbs 58's julie parise is live in the studio... with the latest on the case. julie? dominique heageen-brown is facing two counts of sexual assault and 2 counts of prostition. his arraignment happens later this morning. he is accused of raping two men and paying for sex with two others. one of the alleged crimes happened just after haeggan-brown shot and killed syville smith near sherman park last august -- the shooting that prompted unrest in milwaukee. after the
