there's a lot of talk this morning... about wisconsin's role in the outcome of the election. wisconsin helped take trump to victory .it's the first time in ?three decades? the state has supported a ?republican? for president. cbs 58's julie parise is in waukesha this morning with reaction from some local voters. julie? there is that element of surprise this morningeven the people who voted for trump say they can't believe he off the win. the last time wisconsin elected a republican president -- it was 1984 and ronald reagan was the president elect. at a watch party here in waukesha last night, excited trump voters watched the results come in.his supporters told us this is a win for everyone who felt the last eight years of the obama presidency were filled with broken promises. one trump supporter told us she made close to 400 phone calls yesterday urging people to vote for the candidate. another told us that trump is a big win for wisconsin -- and

in burlington... voters passed a referendum to build a community pool facility at devor park. park.the project will be paid for using ?tax dollars.? the project passed with 70-percent of the vote. 3 and in elkhorn...voters said yes to a new outdoor athletic facility. and to a new agricultural greenhouse at the high school. they'll also remodel and renovate the auditorium... in addition to some other improvement projects in the district. that passed with 61-percent of the vote. we told you about oconomowoc's referendum last week. week.voters there.. approa project... that will renovate an old health clinic into an east campus of the high school. and also to build a new "meadow view elementary school." that passed with 55- percent of the vote. 3 meanwhile... voters in the germantown school district approved an 84-million dollar facilities project.... with 52- percent of the vote.that project includes cafeteria additions at three elementary schools....a new field house.. a new performing arts center.. a new swimming pool and a new secure main entrance at the

in national news--- two people are ?dead? and two others hurt... after a gunman ?opened fire near two polling places?--- including an elementary school. school.a swat team in ... ?stopped him? last night. night.aerial footage shows the swat team using a ?robot?--- then rushing a house... where they believed the suspect was. ?came out of the house?... with a person on a gurney. investigators say... the suspect was hit by gunfire during an exchange with police. he died.none of the officers were hurt.officials say... the shooting was ?not? connected to the election. 3 a protester taking part in a demonstration was hit by a car and seriously injured overnight in oakland.it happened after several dozen protesters started marching... following the election of republican candidate donald trump as the next president. police say about 50 protesters were in the area there were
