causes heavy damage to a popular italian restaurant on the south shore. this is what is left of carmelo this is what is left of carmelo's restaurant on main street in kingston. the windows and walls are blown out. everything inside is charred. people were inside having dinner when the fire broke out and everyone got out safely. fire fighters say the family fire fighters say the family-owned restaurant is a town favorite. >> the family has been in police for a number years and own the restaurant down to the right down the street, mama mia's. a number of restaurants throughout the area and they do a great business. >> julie: carmelo's posted on their facebook page they don't note full extent of the damage and will let their customers know when they have more information. 100 people posted comments of support. lawyers for the danvers teen convicted of murdering his math teacher will be back in court. phillip chism was found guilty of rape of raping and murdering colleen ritzzer.

principal edward rosemarek spoke in two chat rooms with someone he thought was a 13-year-old girl. it was actually a trained decoy for the perverted justice foundation. according to the report the foundation tipped off investigators, screen logs, chat logs and e-mails. he admitted to the decoy and was a principal and father and was a regular guy in the chatham chat room and used the chat name of great guy. the comments were sex annual nature and he initiated the sexual chat. fox25 first reported in december. state police have been to his beverly home for an investigation. we can now tell you an examination of his desktop computer found browser activity from the two chat rooms in question, and police also say a school issued dell laptop contained evidence consistent with chat activity on those web

files depicting adult pornography. when investigators questioned rosemarek, he acknowledged his behavior was appropriate and said he did it because it is, quote, exciting. the third time we tried to reach him at his beverly home today. he did not come to the door, but suave scott parents had plenty to say when we told him what we learned. >> i think it is his or her nrivbing general and horrific certainly as a principal of school with children. >> the best thing is that he is not here anymore. that's how i feel. the most important thing is our kids' safe safety and they did a great job by telling him he >> daniel: that was. >> heather: reporting. we reached out to rosemarek's attorney who emphasized no criminal charges against him. you might be wondering why that is, state statute requires that the defendant entice the alleged victim to a specific location. no evidence to show that he did

in a state, essex county da tells fox25, quote, in not charging mr. rosemarek, the essex district attorney's office did not suggest that his conduct was any appropriate as repugnant as his conduct was it simply does not cross the criminal line. fox25 investigates checked with lowell school where his contract was not renewed as headmaster prior to coming to swatch scott. that district would only confirm he finished out the length of his contract and it was not renewed. it is now 4:07. new this morning, someone has vandalized a tribute to a red sox icon at fenway park. it happened outside the park. you can see the graffiti on johnny peske's number 6. he is a sox ledge end that worked for the team for six decades. named for him. this is unfortunate and graffiti is common the area and they are looking to clean it no.

when wind comes in off the water and drives the moisture and you can see tomorrow morning, those clouds develop and cloudy skies start taking over for your friday. the brooklyning of green, the deep near friday, the better chance we will see patchy drizzle especially along the north shore. so it could get a little drizzly. dimmer tomorrow. temperatures will be okay. temperatures still get up to 40 degrees for your friday. and then saturday morning, i know that the moisture incredibly limited here as we look at saturday morning. there will be some very light and patchy precipitation. my concern is rule though southeastern massachusetts, it will be dress up to boston, opposite north and west. some freezing drizzle and further north into new hampshire, even a little bit of light snow and sleet, but, again, i can't stress again so light here that impact should be minimal. as you know though, even minimal ice on the road is going to cause some big headaches.

woman's life after she was caught in a major storm in california. take a look at this truck. the woman was stuck in the passenger seat partially under water for about 90 minutes. her boyfriend drove drove into the water that started to sweep the truck away until it got wedged between a telephone pole and that is what saved her life and that is what saved her life. he escaped, but fire fighters had to work under water to get the woman out. the third el nino fueled storm in southern california this week that is sending water and mud on to roadways, topple mud on to roadways, toppling trees and flooding streams. you can see the effects of the el nino system tonight on fox25 news at 5, 6 and 10 as chief meteorologist kevin lemanowicz report live from lake tahoe, california. an amazing rescue at a canadian ski resort and all caught on video. 75 skiers got caught on a gondola because of a electrical failure. they had to strap guests into harnesses and dangle them on ropes high above ground to bring them to safety.
