continues to search for answers. and this morning, still no suspects in that shooting. >> jason: fox 25 stephanie coueignoux is live at boston headquarters this morning. the man that was killed is the father of twin six-year-old boys. >> reporter: as you can imagine, this is so incredibly emotional for everyone and tougher, still that they still haven't been allowed to see his body. this as boston police still have not shooting. this shooting happened just before 5:00 yesterday afternoon on ames street in dorchester. and when police arrived there, they found two men, both in their late 20s with gunshot wounds. one had nonlife-threatening injuries, the otherdant lee leonard rushed to the hospital where he was pronounced dead. his twin brother spoke only to fox 25, saying the medical examiner and officials wouldn't let him see his body because

greg and mark didn't want to be landlords they just wanted to flip the house. >> this person was in there legitimately at one point in time renting a room: the rights that they had from the prior owner passed through to the new owner. >> reporter: greg and mark got caught up trying to sort out some of the strictest tenant laws in the country. they've already been to court twice this summer. >> it doesn't make sense how people can do that how they get away with it. >> reporter: it turns out walls may be doing somethi massachusetts. court records show she is well aware of laws that favor tenants and is using them to her advantage. fox 25 uncovered several housing cases in plymouth and in hull. this document shows she got a restraining order against muskoe on august 22nd. restraining him from going into hissed property. next she claim indigency, that allowed walls to get a court

issued a restraining order in walls in plymouth district court. on april, they met in court. the case continued to may and then to june. then finally settled in el bakraoui can -- buchanan's favor in mid-june. we tried to speak with walls about her story. >> i wanted to talk to you about the tenant side of the house. >> that day, we learned the court did the you can talking for walls. that she had the right to live in the house. greg and mark, stuck again, unable to proceed, until they can resolve this issue with linda walls. >> we just want the house back. we want her out. so we can fix it. >> that's how we make money, we can't make it if we can't sell it. >> reporter: those homeowners tell me that as of today, linda has yet to move out of her home. she told fox 25 that she got the restraining order because the landlord was rude to her.

>> reporter: as you can imagine jason and heather this is just so emotional for everyone involved even more devastaing is that this family says they still have not been allowed to see his body. this as boston police have not made any arrests in this shooting. it happened just before 5:00 on ames street in dorchester yesterday. and when police arrived they found two men both in their late 20s with gunshot wounds. one with nonlife-threatening injuries. the other, dantley rushed to the hospital where he was pronounced dead. his twin brother danly spoke only to fox 25, saying that hospital officials and the medical examiner wouldn't let them see his brother's body because he's an organ donor and he was told they would have to wait until the offices reopened. it's something he says only adds to their grief. >> that's the closest person to me is my twin brother. they gave us a number to call.

developing this morning, police in albany, new york continue to investigate a shooting at a mall there. the mall went into lock down after several shoppers reported gun down. more than 100 officers in tactical gear swarmed the building yesterday. and yesterday they heard bullets flying. a rush to get out of the building of course. no one released by police. now investigators looking for a man spotted in surveillance footage in the area where the shooting happened. >> heather: police are sharing surveillance video in the hopes of a woman who took a purse left behind by another shopper at a natick store. look at the video right here. it is pretty clear the woman was struggling with herself about whether or not to take that bag. in the end, her conscience did not weigh out. that purse contained a license

wind chills at 40 degrees compared to the 20s like we were yesterday morning on fox 25 morning news. cooler readings in keene. lower 40s there. 44 in plymouth, where we've had clearer skies, let the heat go. that's why it's a little chillier there. meanwhile, tracking this coastal storm beginning to take shape. surface low pressure just off of the florida georgia coastline. begin to go tighten up and make its way toward us this week. more on that too. the fenway. we have the morning clouds about 10:00 a.m. we brighten right up. we head into the middle 50s at 11. and head for the upper 50s for high temperatures today. southern new hampshire, salem nashua, over to manchester, 58 to 57 this afternoon. here it will be a little lower in the lower locations of worcester county. and we'll see high temperatures around concord and waltham running 57 to 58.

natick. dedham could touch 60 degrees. and over toward logan upper 50s and even your 60 in the city. there's that hour by hour patriot forecast for you. sunny skies, 55 at 4:00 p.m. there will be a dry breeze out of the west and southwest. it will taper off after sunset. so 8:00, i expect mainly quiet winds. middle 40s. and at midnight, hopeful well a pats win. clear skies. super keep it mostly sunny tomorrow and look at the wind direction out of the west and southwest as high pressure is now moving off shore here. that's going to be a very warm day with low to middle 60s here in southern new england on monday. but by tuesday here comes the coastal storm. it's off of the coast starting to see a few showers pressed up against the islands and the south coast for the monday morning drive time. then the showers continue to spread northward through midday

richter scale. so far no reports of major damage or injuries. this is pretty early on of course. that same area hit by a deadly earthquake five years ago. >> 8:13 this morning. two business partners bought a fixer upper and home planning to get in and out and make money as fast as possible. but a tenant living there is refusing to get out and now they're stuck. they told fox 25 john monahan they can't even renovate and now they must litigate to in their property. >> reporter: linda walls has been living at 21 revere street in hull for more than a year and a half. yet so far she's only paid three months rent. she owes the former homeowner $2700. but they sold the house and never collected. linda still lives there and still has not been paid rent. >> we were looking for a property to flip. and we got a friend that was getting rid of it.

bought it back in june. >> that she was living there and not pay and they were in the process of evicting her. >> reporter: the business partners assumed that the eviction which was underway would happen soon but attorney alan siegel who specializes in eviction law says landowners need to be fully say wear of the law. >> you really need to know what you're doing if you're going to be a labrador lord in massachusetts. because the laws are stricted construed and they do favor the tenant. existing tenant, the new owner becomes the new landlord and eviction process must start from scratch. greg and mark didn't want to be landlords, they just wanted to flip the house. >> this person was in there legitimately at one point in time renting a room. the rights they had from the prior owner passed through to the new owner. >> reporter: greg and mark got caught up trying to sort out the

people can do that and get away with it. >> reporter: it turns out walls may be doing something familiar to some landlords in massachusetts. court records show she is well aware of laws that favor tenants and is using them to her advantage. fox 25 uncovered several housing cases in plymouth and in hull. this document shows she got a restraining order against muskoe on august 22nd, restraining him from coming into his own property. next, she claimed court appointed attorney. back in february of 2015, walls issued a restraining order against john buchanan in plymouth housing court. on april, they met in court. the case was continued to may and then to june. then finally settled in buchanan's favor in mid-june. back in hull, we tried to speak with walls to get her side of the story. >> i just wanted to see if we could talk to you about what's

lunchtime. i expect to pretty much wall to wall. upper 50s in and dover today. hudson and natick and dedham near 60 degrees. and we'll see those readings also for plymouth county and bristol county with upper 50s to near 60. patriots are at home. of course, seahawks in town. sunny and 55 for tailgate. 8:00 readings down to the middle 40s. light winds after sunset. it's going to be great out there at gillette. clear skies overnight for our super moon viewing. we'll keep it sunny for most of monday. but here comes our next weather maker. low pressure now developing off of the georgia florida coastline. making its way towards the outer banks by monday afternoon. meanwhile, out ahead of it, we are getting even a little bit warmer than today. so that warming trend continues through early week. then the clouds and the showers

portsmouth. i am tracking our next coastal storm already taking shape. show you where that is and where it's headed coming up. >> heather: all right. thank you, jason. this morning, boston police continue to investigate a double shooting that happened last night in dorchester. it took the life of a young father. >> jason: fox 25 stephanie coueignoux is live outside of boston police headquarters. stephanie, the victim's brother spoke only to fox 25 about the devastating loss they're experiencing right now. >> reporter: yeah, he wanted to reach out to fox 25 after he allowed to see his brother's body. as you can imagine, it is just absolutely devastating. i did just get an update that i wanted to pass along to you from boston police. they say this is still an ongoing investigation. and they're not releasing much information at this time. including what a possible motive is or whether this was a targeted shooting. but they did say they are still actively searching for whoever was involved in this shootings.

outside of boston police headquarters, i'm stephanie coueignoux, fox 25 news. >> heather: all right. stephanie. thank you. this as new details are out this morning about a stabbing that happened near fenway park. we brought you this story as breaking news last night during our 6:00 p.m. news cast. a woman was found around 5:00 last night. and this morning, the globe , is reporting that it happened in a domino's pizza in the 1200 block of boylston street. an employee told the paper, the woman was there with a man and both were familiar to workers. that woman is expected to be okay arrests. >> jason: a death investigation on the way in easton after a florida man found shot in the head in the woods. the man was found tuesday near walking paths and homes in the lang water pond area. 35-year-old daniel smith died friday night at the hospital and police treating it as a suspicious death. they're looking for a car that could be connected to the case. a description of the car, a red

when a neighbor heard them screaming and ran to helpful that couple shared the neighbor's heroic actions with fox 25's bob ward. >> i love her to death. >> reporter: this is rail lynn bilodeau, just over a week old and already survived a life or death drama. ray lynn's mom noticed her not breathing. >> she arched her back backwards and started failing her head side to side and her eyes -- you know, she looked >> reporter: rail lynn's dad rushed to help and he told me in moments it got worse. >> she's turning purple, blue wish, her eyes popping out of her head. >> reporter: at the same time, corey called 911 and the mom rushed outside for fresh air. >> i ran outside and i started screaming for helpful you know any baby is dying. she's turning blue, she's not breathing. can somebody help me. >> reporter: the seconds seemed like hours.

all of this. fox 25 stephanie coueignoux is live outside of boston police headquarters. and this morning, stephanie, we know the man killed in this shooting is actually the father of twin boys himself? >> reporter: yeah. and the family when speaking with fox 25 so incredibly emotional as you can imagine. and what's so devastating is they say they still haven't been able to see his body. police telling me this is an active investigation but so anyone. these shootings happened just before 5:00 yesterday on ames street in dorchester. when police arrived, they found those two men in their late 20s with gunshot wounds. with nonlife-threatening injuries, the other, dantley leonard, was rushed to the hospital where he was pronounced dead. his brother, dan lee, said they wouldn't let him see his body because he was an organ donor

our normal is 52. you're going to be well above that. stay that way to start the week. i do have to watch this coastal storm forming right now. going to bring rain, winds, coastal concerns. i have a timeline on that straight ahead. >> jason: all right. jason thank you so much. this morning, boston police investigating a double shooting in dorchester and took the life of a young fear. >> jason: fox 25 stephanie coueignoux is live outside of boston police headquarters this morning and the victim spoke only horrible crime. >> reporter: jason and heather the brother reached out to fox 25 after he says his family repeatedly denied access to his brother's body something that's so incredibly emotional as you can imagine. the family of dantley leonard spoke only with fox 25 after they say they kept being denied access. leonard's brother say hospital officials and the medical examiner told him because he was an organ donor, they would have

man both in their 20s shot on main street in dorchester just before 5:00 yesterday afternoon. leonard died from his injuries. and the other man who still hasn't been identified had nonlife-threatening injuries. this morning, police tell us that they are still searching for whoever shot the men. so far they have not released a motive. but one witness who was just 13 years old described all of this commotion to us. >> all i heard was just pop pop pop. a whole bunch of times and out of sirens and people telling you to go inside if you're outside. >> reporter: again, so many questions remain in regard to whether it was a targeted or random shooting. information about the suspect, as well as a possible motive. again, boston police not releasing much because they say this is an active and ongoing investigation. but as soon as we get more information, we'll have it on air and online at fox25boston.com. outside of boston police headquarters, i'm stephanie coueignoux, fox 25 news. >> jason: we have new details

this story was breaking last night during our 6:00 news cast. a woman was stabbed around 5:00 p.m. the globe reporting it happened near the domino's pizza at 1200 block of boylston street. a woman was there with a man and both work are familiar to worker inside of the pizza shop. there have been no arrests. >> heather: service on the needham line is being shut down in west roxbury. no alternative services being provided. the mbta says trains will be up and running just in time for tomorrow morning's commute to work. >> jason: developing this morning another night of amount try trump protests around the country. including in portland oregon where once again things got out of happened. >> violation of the law. >> get out of my face! >> jason: officers say last night's protests began peacefully but escalated when people in mass blocked the

peace and calm moving forward. >> if you're upset about the election of donald trump, and you want change, there are ways to do that. get involved. but don't come participate in a protest in downtown portland tonight that has been taken over over the last three nights by people who simply want to fight with the police. >> jason: last night, police were once again forced to use distraction devices to break up the crowd. now let's look at the portland protests by the numbers. were arrested. that brings the total numbers since this all started to 50 arrests. there was also a shooting during the protest friday night. the man who was hit is expected to live. >> heather: "saturday night live" certainly hasn't held back throughout this election season. and last night was the first episode since tuesday's election. and the show took a decidedly different tone. alec baldwin's portrayal of donald trump was nowhere to be found last night.

a full page ad apologizing to the jalapeno restaurant. calling it an awful attempt at a bad joke. edward tomasso and another student showed up at wellesley college last week to gloat after donald trump won the election. as you know wellesley is hillary clinton's alma mater. tomasso since apologized but denied any profanity or spitting at students. victims of the attack bagram airport has been identified as u.s. natives. now we're learning they're two u.s. service members and two u.s. contractors. 16 u.s. service members also hurt in the attack. the taliban claimed responsibility for the attack that it happened as the base was getting ready for a post veterans day event. the victims names not been released. >> heather: well, today, the world will be remembering the victims of the deadly paris attacks. it was one year ago today that right here on this news cast, we

130 people in all were killed as terrorists carried out a series of attacks around the city of light. 89 of the victims died at the bataclan music hall. that opened for the first time since the attack. last night with a sting concert ? tears from the star. like tears from the stars ? >> heather: sting started the show with a moment of silence. that show was sold out. all of the donated to charities set up in honor of the victims of the attacks. this as this morning, france's president is taking the time out to visit each and every attack site. these plaques that you're looking at, have been placed at each attack site in honor of the victims. so obviously a very sad day. paris and for the world. >> jason: i think it would be hard to be there looking around knowing what just happened a year ago. that's got to be tough. i'm glad they're moving forward as best they can. >> heather: i like sting's performance.

>> jason: developing this morning, police in albany, new york continue to investigate a shooting at a mall there. cross gates mall went into lock down after several shoppers reported gunfire. more than 100 officers in tactical gear swarmed the building yesterday. witnesses say they heard bullets flying and there was a rush to get away from the mall. no one was hurt. two men detained but police later let them go. investigators looking for another man spot understand surveillance footage in the same area where the shooting happened.

air on the peninsula. nice conditions any way you slice it. there's that patriots forecast of sunny skies giving way to clear skies. we have a breeze out there, it's 4:00, 55 the breeze, the breeze tapers off after sunset. it's clear at midnight. hopefully wrapping up after the pats win. clear view for super moon by the way. when you start with shiri in the morning, she'll be watching the coastal storm developing right now off of georgia and florida. making it toward the outer banks tomorrow. tomorrow we're in the0s for most of the day. then that chance for rain arrives early tuesday morning. it arrives first on the south coast. the cape and islands, and then it makes its way northward. so right now, the track of the low is going to influence who gets the heaviest rain. looks like it will come right over southeastern mass. and then dump an inch or more along the south shore the cape and islands as you go westward, the amounts will be lower. but we do also have to watch

bumping up against the higher hills to the west. you can get higher rain amounts that way as well. there's your next couple of days. it is mild on monday. lower 60s tuesday the showers arrive, it's going to be breezy with middle 50s and then the rain gets out of here, wednesday, looking pretty good as skies slow to clear but i do think they'll brighten up into the afternoon on tuesday. fridays 50 degrees. next saturday, 61 your with the weekend always in view. i do want to monitoring the king tide and a minor to moderate coastal threat. sarah has more on that tonight at fox 25 news. >> jason: the victim's brother speaking only to fox 25. the hospital rule that he says is only making the situation more difficult.

hospitalized and leonard's twin brother spoke only with fox 25 about the devastating loss. he says compounding the family's pain is the fact that they've not been able to see his brother's body. you see dantley leonard was an organ donor. the family says they're being told they will have to wait. this morning, boston police are still investigating the circumstances surrounding the shooting. the department tells fox 25, they will not be releasing the second victim's name at this point. >> jason: this morning, the mayor of brockton is receiving taxpayer money. the city council wants to know why he's going to school on the taxpayer's dime. back in august, the city auditor approved a payment for tuition and other fees so mayor carpenter could take a foreign language class at a city college. one council member told the enterprise that the mayor should've paid for the class himself. the city council is going to take up that issue at a meeting tomorrow night. >> heather: super bowl rematch
