lunchtime and early afternoon. but in plymouth, the thanksgiving parade, going to stay cloudier, not too much wind yet. that changes tomorrow. i'm tracking a storm system on the way. get out and enjoy some of the 50s today. it's all going to come crashing down. back to you. >> jason: developing this morning, police continue to search for a hit and run driver plowing down a woman in a crosswalk. >> heather: this morning, stephanie coueignoux is live in chelsea for us at the intersection where it happened. we are h that the victim is expected to be okay. >> reporter: amazingly that woman only had nonlife-threatening injuries. i am at intersection of fourth and broadway. you can see at the surveillance camera here on the lamp post. all of this was caught on camera. i do want to show you the surveillance video that captured the hit and run. in the video you can see the woman at the bottom of the

hitting the 72-year-old, new yorking her to the ground. that minivan drives off. chelsea police say the woman did have a cut to her forehead and other injuries and she was rushed to the hospital. people we spoke with say they cannot believe the driver did not stop. >> to me, it's disgusting, i don't know how anyone could ever do that. >> reporter: now, police say the minivan appears to be an model dodge caravan. it appears to be missing a right front hubcap or driving on a spare tire. anyone with information is asked to call police. and coming up in 30 minutes, the item taped to the window that could help track the driver down. in chelsea, stephanie coueignoux fox 25 news. >> heather: another person in the hospital with serious injuries after being hit by a car in dorchester. this happened on quincy street.

particularly hepatitis c but liver cancer as a whole. is the fastest rising cancer death in this country. >> reporter: they believe there's a direct correlation between the rise in injection drug use and the rise of hep c in young people. >> we have seen as a result of many more young people present to our clinics. >> reporter: fox 25 found rates steadily increasing in massachusetts over the past decade. more than 9,000 confirmed and probable cases in 2015 compared to 7,000 in 2005. the toll the greatest on young people. in 2015, close to 5,000 of the cases were 15 to 39-year-olds. in middlesex county where timmy lives by far reported the highest number of cases. >> this right here. this is daily maintenance until i get to a point where i get

surveillance video right here, captures the moment a woman is hit by a minivan. she's crossing the street in the crosswalk. it happened in chelsea. and that van took off. this morning, police are still looking for the van. fox 25 stephanie coueignoux is live at the intersection in chelsea. and stephanie, something about that van that might help them track it down this weekend? >> reporter: yeah, jason and heather, police say there was actually a piece of paper taped to the minivan's window. some information. taking a look behind me, this is the intersection of fourth and broadway, you can see the crosswalk right here. this is where that woman was crossing when she was hit. a surveillance camera captured this disturbing hit and run. at the bottom of your screen, you can see the woman standing in the crosswalk. and then from the left, a white minivan, driving up, hitting the 72-year-old, and knocking her to the ground. the van then keeps on driving as the woman lies there in the

meantime, tragedy in wells, maine, this morning, where a five-year-old boy among the victims of a deadly crash that and on maine turnpike. a lowell man driving the white box truck that you see in the background on the scene. the truck ran into a car from behind and then landed on top of it, killing that little boy. and the man who volunteered to drive him as part of a community action group. both of those victims are from maine. the crash happened as traffic was slowing down from another crash just road. da is now investigates. >> jason: a former massachusetts funeral director has pleaded guilty of improperly disposing of bodies. william rider oversaw rider funeral home in hadley where investigators found improperly deexposing bodies there. he was embezzling from families that he served. foregoed a trial on friday and pled guilty to the crimes.

7:06. and new this morning, a massachusetts man who claims he is the real creator of the popular animated movie "kung fu panda" has been convicted of wire fraud and perjury. it started in 2011 when jamie gordon filed a multimillion lawsuit against dream works. the prosecutors say he was lying and even went so far as create documents to support his claim. gordon was accused of repeatedly lying in even producing evidence. he was found guilty yesterday and will be sentenced in march. >> accused of attacking a girl in bourne, the 18-year-old appeared in court yet. john allen grabbed her from behind and threw her to the ground as she walked to the bus stop. his defense attorneys say officers got the wrong guy. >> this is a case where identity is clearly at issue here. and that there are several

commonwealth's witnesses. >> jason: detectives say they found a sweatshirt matching the description of one the suspect was wearing in allen's car. the victim tells fox 25, she does not know allen. his dangerousness hearing will be on tuesday. worcester police investigating the armed robbery of a group of kids outside of an apartment on chatham street wednesday night. the group was approached by a group of four men who asked them if they were in a gang, when they said they weren't, one of them showed them a handle valuables. no one was hurt. >> heather: in the meantime, police in worcester are hoping somebody recognizes this man on your screen, he's connected with three armed robbery. this is surveillance from the robbery on honey form farms on belmont street late last month. that suspect is about 5'5" with a slender build. >> jason: still no arrests of a a 911 call caused pap nick and fear on boston university campus. the caller told police friday

in the crosswalk. and then from the left, a white minivan drives up, hitting the 72-year-old and knocking her to the ground. the van then keeps on driving as the woman lies there in the middle of the road. >> it was so -- i mean, who would do that to only woman. >> reporter: chelsea police say the woman was rushed to the hospital with a cut to her forehead and other injuries but is expected to be okay. in the meantime, they're now asking for the public's help in fi driver. >> it's a horrible person because that would be like your mom, your grandma or -- >> reporter: police say the van appears to be an older model dodge caravan with a paper note taped to the right rear window. the van also appears to be missing its right rear hubcap or driving on a spare tire. when we were here earlier people we spoke to say this is a dangerous intersection. in fact, our fox 25 crew saw

where we are right now. police are asking anyone with any information to give them a call. in chelsea, i'm stephanie coueignoux. fox 25 news. >> stephanie, thank you. we're also following a tragedy in wells, maine for you this morning. where a five-year-old was the victim of a deadly crash on maine turnpike. a lowell man driving the white box truck in the foreground there, the truck ran into a car from behind and then it landed on top of it. that's wha and also took the life of a man who volunteered to drive that little boy as part of a community action group. both of those victims were from maine. that crash happened as they were slowing down from another crash just a few miles down the road. this morning, the district attorney's office is investigating. a former massachusetts funeral director pleaded guilty to improperly disposing of bodies. william ryder oversaw rider funeral home in south hadley where investigators found

nearly $4,000 from the families he served. he pleaded guilty to the crimes on friday. >> it's a form of punishment on the one hand and also a recognition as the judge said, a case cloaked in sadness. the harm that mr. ryder imposed can't be undone. >> jason: ryder's lawyer says he has been dealing with substance abuse and depression. he was sentenced to 18 months in prison and one year >> heather: a man pled guilty. mack cavene knee life to in prison for the beating of barbara mack cavene knee. we have been covering the case from the beginning. remember this, mack cavene knee's shocking admission to bob ward, not only that he killed his mother, but the family's cat. >> to my mother, barbara, mack cavene knee and to her cat,

swinging on through. >> first big storm. even that far north. everyone is thinking about that. but it's the first one of the year. you've got to kind of shake the dust off, think extra cautious. overnight tonight in the berkshires, we'll be monitoring for that potential for some hazardous travel into tomorrow morning. there's the system. you can see that snow flying now in wisconsin. spilling over into michigan. even parts of northern illinois and indiana. now this front to our west. we're just seeing sunshine this now winds out of the northeast, bringing ocean clouds, slowly westward and response to the approaching storm to our west. so the temperatures running 49 to 50 for the cape and islands. underneath those clouds, marshfield at 50 degrees. and then it's a sharp clearing line right about in the abbington area where we're seeing the cut off of the clouds. norton, norwood, even boston, sunny skies and you see temperatures in the 30s and 40s to start the day.

but it's colder as you sink down to the lower valleys with 30s there. hour by hour, let's check out framingham, not a bad day at all. we're going to have light winds for the most part. clear skies here. 1:00 number of 55 degrees. and we'll begin our downward slide at 5:00 p.m. there's cape cod, though, we're stocked in. even some drizzle reported. kind of what you see is what you get. temps in the lower 50s for the better part of the day. into boston low and middle 50s. the farther north and west you go. mid and upper 50s around chelmsford. overnight tonight. 40s in most locations. not cold by any stretch. we'll see the 30s confined too far western areas. that's where we're most concerned. we get a change over to snow. there could be some hazardous travel by tomorrow morning. there's midnight. the clouds are with us. there are spotty showers. the evening plans mainly dry but can't rule out spotty drizzle and showers trying to develop. tomorrow morning, when you get

heavier showers and the snow will be flying in the mountains. so let's get up a little more close here and zoom in. there's 6:00 in the morning. you see that band of heavier showers working through as the system moves in. then we go to 9 o'clock in the morning. cold enough for a few snowflakes to be flying in the worcester hills. we'll start to see the potential for accumulation. up around the keene and orange area. brattleboro and berkshires as well. by 7:00 a.m. tomorrow. during the continue to stay windy and cold. and the cold air continues to deepen on sunday. that threat of snow showers, not expecting any accumulation as you continue eastward. that threat will continue into the highest hills and the mountains. as far as snowfall amounts, here's one way to look at it. you see generally a coating in worcester county. but then 1 to 3 as you go here towards the berkshires. seven-day forecast. well, we're going to wrap things up on monday morning with a couple of flurries out there.

i am tracking, though, this next weather maker. it's backed into the midwest right now with snow attached to it. i'll show you who gets some snow in new england coming up. >> jason: breaking into our newsroom this morning, a teenager hospitalized in serious condition after a police chase in wareham. police actually ended up calling off of the chase right before this scene on county road. in the video you can see not too much left of the car that the 17-year-old was driving. it started at 4:30 this morning, when someone reported being hit when police got there, police say he sped away with no headlights on. the teen was found lying in the road. the driver is from wareham and may have been driving with a suspended license. no arrests this morning. police are still investigating. also police continue to search for a hit and run driver caught on surveillance video, hitting a woman in a crosswalk. >> heather: it happened at a busy intersection in chelsea.

stephanie coueignoux this morning. stephanie, the good news to report is the victim is expected to, okay. >> reporter: yeah, amazingly enough, that woman had a cut to her forehead and other injuries but she is expected to be okay. i'm here at that intersection of fourth and broadway. taking a look from up above, you can see the surveillance video that captured this hit and run on camera. i also want to show you that video that captured that hit and run. in that video, you can see the woman at the bottom of this screen in the crosswalk. you then see drive up and hit the 72-year-old woman knocking her to the ground before driving off. just a short time ago, i showed this video to a resident who says she was very shocked as she watched it. she told me, she can't understand why that driver didn't stop. >> how could you not realize that you don't hit somebody? you see them flying up, you know? just like, why wouldn't you stop? why just keep going, you know?

vigilant for terrorist attack warning signs. the fbi issued this statement yesterday, saying no specific threat out there, but everyone must stay guarded. the agency worried about paris like attacks where multiple public places hit by home grown terrorists. we reached out to boston p.d. with regards to this warning. the department saying they're staying alert and undering the public to report anything suspicious. the fbi will step up security for the state's capital. that happening two months from tomorrow. >> heather: in the meantime, the president-elect is spending this weekend in bedminster new jersey in a series of meetings with people including former massachusetts governor mitt romney. possibly to offer romney a role in trump's cabinet. rumors swirling that romney is being considered for a position of secretary of state in the

>> heather: welcome back. as we've been reporting the heroin epidemic has been taking over the state. and now it is leading to a new public health problem in our state. the number of hepatitis c cases is skyrocketing. and having a big impact not only on recovering addicts but also their families and the state at large. >> just because you get clean doesn't mean everything goes back to the way it is. it's not all rainbows and puppy dogs. >> reporter: yet another consequence of the state's heroin a life changing lasting consequence. >> i needed assistance getting from the porch outside smoking a cigarette to the bedroom because i would've just toppled over. >> reporter: timmy rose was able to beat his heroin addiction only to be faced with a new battle, living with hepatitis c. his story of addiction is a familiar one. the father of two grew up in a middle class home in newton and became hooked first on painkillers prescribed after he was injured while serving in the army. it led to heroin.

a woman who was up front with him that she had hepatitis c. he used her needle any way. >> i didn't care. i didn't care. the heroin was more important to me at that time than anything. >> reporter: when drug addicts share needle, they're also sharing bodily fluids which is how hepatitis c is transmitted. it attacks the liver, cause liver failure or liver cancer. dr. ray chunk is the director of help to go in the rheumatology >> liver cancer as a whole the fastest rising cause of cancer death in this country. >> reporter: both dr. chunk and massachusetts police believe there's a correlation in the rise of heroin use and the rise of hepatitis c in young people. >> we've seen, as a result. many more young people present to our clinics. >> reporter: fox 25 found hep c

decade. more than 9,000 confirmed and probable causes in 2015 compared to little more than 7,000 in 2005. the toll the greatest on young people. in 2015 close to 5,000 of the cases were 15 to 39-year-olds. and middlesex county, where timmy lives, by far reported the highest amount of cases. >> this right here is daily maintenance until i get to the point of getting treated or i expire, it's that >> reporter: timmy has the most aggressive form of hepatitis c. >> if i don't take that i will be in the hospital. >> reporter: he now has all of the symptoms of type 2 diabetes. he's worried he's on borrowed time. >> there's still a 1 in 5 chance i'm not going to make it. >> reporter: you have an 8-year-old son how does it make you feel knowing you might not see him graduate high school? >> it hurts. i want to be there for everything and i know i'm not going to be. that's the reality of it. i have to live with that.

addiction, for that i'm responsible, i have no one to blame but me. you know. >> reporter: i'm sorry. >> it's all right. >> heather: i'm happy to report to you since that interview timmy has been able to get some medicine to help him with his hepatitis c. for their part, the department of public health says they're working to stop the spread of it. and they perform about 30,000 tests a year to screen for hepatitis c. there are also state funded programs that include things like needle exchange services >> jason: a mother at the center of a heartbreaking video in lawrence two months ago. this video shows a two-year-old girl tugging at her mother passed out from an overdose. that mother facing a child endangerment charge. she had a no show yesterday in court. and the child was taken into

>> heather: we're waking up to a sunny and mild morning for the month of november. it's a great day for leaf raking. remember last weekend how windy it was? >> jason brewer: great day for yard work. >> heather: we put it off why bother when the wind was so active last weekend. >> jason brewer: that's a good point. tomorrow is going to be windy and rainy at times. even some snowflakes i'm going to talk about tomorrow. not as -- we the 60s yesterday. we're shedding our layers. a nice saturday overall. even some clouds start to roll in into the south but sunny now. 46 degrees in boston. the wind chill only at 42. there's not a lot of wind yet. temperatures right you in in the 50s as you get toward cape cod. we have low 40s in waltham. upper 30s in natick. so get into normally colder pockets still 30s hanging around. nashua at 37 degrees.

overnight -- rather into today, we'll warm it right into the 50s up against the coastline and stay in the middle 50s up against the coast. but we'll be able to climb into the mid and upper 50s as you go westward along the pike around chelmsford. then overnight tonight, not going to be drastically colder. that's kind of a good thing. because we do have the rain on the way. we're not concerned about freezing rain. but there is some concern as you go out to the western parts of our state, there will be hazardous travel. take a look at what' an approaching storm system. showers and clouds heading into the late evening tonight. dinner plan, mostly dry but a drizzle possible. on sunday morning, here comes the rain, a band of showers and then there's the snow. the cold air coming in on the backside of the storm system. as we wake up tomorrow morning, i'm tracking these pockets of heavier showers as the storm lifts through. temperatures mainly in the 40s to start sunday.

climb. the cold air builds in, it's windy and start to see the flip over of snow into the worcester hills heading into sunday morning. this is an area that could see some keatings on the grassy surfaces. the warm temperatures gradually warm. then this afternoon the cold air continues to move in. snowflakes possible, the farther west you go, the better your chance for that. but watch here, there will be cold air all the way down over the ocean toward cape cod. and so by even those spots could see a flake in the air. again, no accumulation. just a coating in the worcester hills possible sunday morning and again on sunday night. let's show you the wind gusts the other thing you have to watch for. tomorrow morning, 7:00, 8:00 in the morning. winds gusting to 30, to possibly 40 miles an hour. as you go to the south coast and islands. there are the wind gusts on sunday afternoon. not much helpful they're only going up a little bit more.

coming up. >> heather: developing this morning, look at this surveillance video, it captures the moment a woman was hit in the crosswalk. police are still looking for the driver. >> jason: stephanie coueignoux is live at the intersection this morning. stephanie, police noticed something about that van in the video that can help them track it down this weekend? >> reporter: yeah, they say there was a piece of paper taped to one of the windows minivan and they hope that detail could help generate some leads. right here behind me this is the intersection of fourth and broadway. you can see that crosswalk, exactly where the woman was when she was hit. a surveillance video captured this disturbing hit and run. at the bottom of the screen, you can see the woman standing in the crosswalk. from the left, a white minivan drives up and hits the 72-year-old and knocks her to

woman lies there in the middle of the road. >> it is so -- i mean, who would do that to a woman. >> reporter: chelsea police say the woman was rushed to the hospital with a cut to her forehead and other injuries. but is expected to be okay. in the meantime, they're asking for the public's help in finding this minivan and its driver. >> it's a horrible person, it could be your mom, your grandma. >> reporter: the van appears to be an older model dodge caravan wi right rear window. also appears to be missing the right wheer hubcap or driving on a spare tire. when our fox 25 crew was here earlier speaking with people, they told us that this is actually a very dangerous intersection and often times accidents happen. when our crew was there, they saw two cars crash nearby. as for the latest incident, police are asking anyone with information to give them a call. in chelsea, i'm stephanie coueignoux, fox 25 news.

to tell you about this morning where a five-year-old boy was among the victims of deadly crash that happened on the maine turnpike. a man was driving the white box in the foreground there. the truck ran into a car from behind. and that's when it landed on top of it, killing that little boy. it also took the life of a man who volunteered to drive that boy as part of a community action group. both were from maine. the crash happened as traffic was slowing down as of another crash that happened just a few miles down the turnpike. the d.a. is now investigating. >> jason: a former massachusetts funeral director has pleaded guilty to improperly disposing of bodies. william ryder oversaw the funeral home in south hadley where investigators found improperly stored and decomposing bodies. also accused of combzlying money from families he served. he foregoed to have a trial and

hand and also a recognition that this judge said a case cloaked in sadness, the harm that mr. ryder imposed can't be undone. >> jason: ryder's attorney says the former funeral director has been struggling with substance abuse and depression. he was sentenced 18 months in jail and two years probation. >> heather: a judge sentenced matthew mcaveeney to life in prison for the b 2016. you may remember, mcaveeney's shocking admission to our own bob ward that he not only killed his mother but also the family cat. >> to my mother, barbara mcaveeney and to her cat, pumpkin, i apologize deeply. sometimes i get out of control. >> reporter: did you do it? >> yes. >> reporter: what did you do to her? >> murdered her. >> heather: you heard it right

mcaveeney had taken off, out of the state. he was eventually arrested in north carolina. >> jason: new this morning, a car slammed into a building in hanson of this photo shows the after math on main street just after 2:00 this morning. a little bit of irony here, because the building it hit, was a repair shop. a stabbing at a northeastern university sky fox over tremont street where police say someone stabbed a man yesterday afternoon. that victim taken to boston medical center and survive. >> heather: 8:35. and happening now president obama in peru this morning meeting with leaders of the future of free trade. he touched down last night for the asian cooperation summit. there world leaders are gathering including canada's prime minister, working to save free trade, an idea that's in jeopardy on several fronts right now. president obama has elected to take them the u.s. out of the tpp and vowed to renegotiate nafta.

a short cut driving people nuts in on one street fox 25 elizabeth hopkins spoke to people in one neighborhood that complained of apps increasing road traffic on their road. >> this really needs to be addressed. >> i think the days of playing street hockey are gone. >> reporter: there's a problem in the streets of quincy. >> it's the worse been. >> reporter: commute rush hour has become a nightmare. they're cutting off of highways

neighborhoods. >> riding their bikes around the neighborhood. not meant to handle the volume. >> reporter: the campaign has been an issue for years. but recently drivers using traffic apps using quincy to be a convenient shortcut. >> turn right on burnett parkway. >> reporter: in particular the app waze are saving precious time using roads here. >> the way waze is directing you traffic taking through roads you might not have thought before or even known that existed. >> reporter: here's the problem, let's say i'm on commute from south shore into boston and there's congestion along my route. all i have to do is turn on waze and it will guide me around that traffic. unfortunately guiding me through residential neighborhoods just like this. waze told me, public roads are intended to be useed by citizens including alleviating gridlock in congested parts of town. we may use these in within reason, but it will never create a traffic jam where one doesn't exist. looking to bannon residents during rush hour.

he believes the problem will only be fixed when state and local government will visit roadway and mass. transit options. elizabeth hopkins, fox 25 news. >> jason: the delay of alaska airlines will come to a close. a anti trust by the daa. that may come to an end likely by the end of the month. if approved, the .6 deal will make alaska the biggest carrier on the west coast and edge out jet blue as the fifth largest u.s. airline. >> heather: parts of the midwest are being hit by a winter storm being blamed for at least three deaths now in minnesota. just learned of those deaths this morning. this is a look at the conditions in various parts of the state. minnesota state police say three people were killed thursday night and last night. and all of those deaths were on the highway. crashes on the highway there.

there were more than 400 crashes being blamed on the weather as well. so it is always tough pointing -- you have that first phone call. to remember how to really slow down. >> jason: people in minnesota just like people here are used to the snow and used to driving in the snow. but you see 400 crashes alone in minnesota. >> maybe they don't have their snow tires on yet. >> jason: maybe people not ready for it not prepared. >> jason brewer: the first one of the season, in the overnight hours. the berkshires have hazardous travels there. on the mountains of new england we'll beat makes its way eastward. right now you do see the rain out ahead of it. the snow behind it, coming through wisconsin and northern illinois and michigan. meantime, these clouds are increasing in response to the approaching storm. it's doing its job turning the winds off of the ocean. not very strong but enough moisture beginning to appear, south shore, the cape and islands, even some patchy drizzle reported. but the good news, temperatures aren't too cold. we're running about 50 degrees as we get underneath those clouds.

up to 41 natick now. norwood at 36. worcester, 46 degrees to start the day. not bad. it's going to be a decent afternoon. i'm not expecting much in the way of any rain. it's going to be just clouds. possibly some spotty drizzle as we get into the later day. plymouth county as temperatures will be stuck mainly in lower 50s. boston in the low to middle 50s. clouds build in through the afternoon. but the farther north and west you go, it's brighter and we climb into the middle and upper 60s. t today. worcester county looking great with some sunshine and mid and upper 50s there. now overnight tonight, not excessively cold. that's a good thing because we do have showers and even some heavier rain on the way overnight. there are your wake up temperatures tomorrow. mainly in the lower and middle 40s. the coldest air out to the west. there's midnight tonight, some spotty showers and clouds. and really most of your dinner time plans you will be okay. but that drizzle and spot shower to watch out for.

i'll be tracking some pockets of heavier rain. in fact you see the frontal system coming through, lifting the ban of rain right across new england early tomorrow morning. and there's the snow in the mountains and flip over to some snow in the worcester hills during the day tomorrow, between 6:00 and 9:00 a.m., this is the area that could see a coating of snow mainly on the grassy surfaces. then the cold air spills in. it's windy through the day. we do have left the west, one or two flakes may get all the way over into the greater boston area on sunday night. not expecting any accumulation. but we won't be caught off guard if we see a couple of flakes in the sky. this goes for monday morning. that cold air will be very deep by then. might even see a few flurries as far as southeast as the cape. expected snowfall, again most areas accumulation free. but a coating in the hills. and then you get to the

court yesterday. police say john allen grabbed the girl from behind and threw her to the ground as she walked to the bus stop. his defense attorneys says prosecutors have the wrong guy. >> this is a case of case of identity is clearly at issue here. and several inconsistencies with the statements of all of the commonwealth's witnesses. >> jason: detectives say they found a sweatshirt matching the description of one of the suspect was wearing in allen's car. the victim told fox 25 she does no held on tuesday. this morning still no are as after a 911 caller caused panic and fear on boston university's campus friday. the caller told police yesterday morning, he shot a hostage and was armed with guns and explosives. inside b.u.'s library. investigators say none of it was true. it took the bomb squad more than an hour to clear all six floors of the library. b.u. sent a statement, saying it now believes the call came from

the ocean. and we're getting moisture off of the ocean. beginning to see the clouds there around hingham, about where the cut off is for the overcast skies. boston just a few clouds now but they'll continue to increase throughout the day. temperatures running in the 40s now. pretty much mixed out of the cold pockets in the 30s earlier this morning. brockton, let's take you, for example, the mostly cloudy skies here this morning. and we'll keep it barely overcast for the afternoon with temperatures hovering in the lower 50s and then not excessively cold tonight. that will play a role as this rain makes its way in. there are your temperatures for today. coolest to the east and mildest to the west. that's the place to be once again today for the warmest readings. framingham, and fitchburg, mid and upper 50s today. not 60s but not bad. there's noontime. beginning to see the clouds coming into the coastal areas all the way back near most of norfolk county covered here at lunchtime. then as we go into the late day,

new hampshire into worcester as well. and that is a sign of what's on the way tonight. clouds, spotty showers for your evening plans. most areas dry. but you might get a drizzle or spot shower for dinner time. then overnight, 40s in most locations. good news is its not going to be freezing anywhere. we're not too concerned about freezing rain or sleeting snow early tomorrow morning. it's going to be the in berks where with he see accumulating snow and possibly between 6:00 to 9:00 a.m. around the worcester out for a flip over to some snowflakes. ground temperatures are warm enough to allow melting on the road. but we could be dealing with a little snow in the morning. future cast at 9:00 on sunday, i'll be here to watch as the cold air deepens and the change over occurs. you see the showers moving away for the better part of the day. it's the first half of the day that we get the heavier showers. on sunday afternoon, you see the scattered snow showers out there.

by sunday night into early monday, cold air is all the way down to the cape. and we have that chance for a few flurries to get pulled all the way southeast ward and into the greater boston area sunday night as well. as far as wind goes, it's going to start kicking around here, tomorrow morning, we'll be waking up with 30 to 40 miles an hour gusts. sunday afternoon, they'll only get a little bit worse. and i don't see them lefting up until tuesday. here's your seven-day forecast. weekend in view. there's your pick day on that threat for rain and snow. monday, with he dry it out by monday afternoon. tuesday looks pretty good. then wednesday night, our next storm system in the making. it hasn't formed yet. sarah has an update on that tonight on fox 25 news. >> heather: all right. jason, thank you. believe it or not. this right here, not snow, not a bubble bath gone awry. it's the result -- it does look like snow doesn't it. it's the result of a malfunction at an airport in san francisco.

and not too much wind yet today. that changes to tomorrow. there are your high temperatures, warmest out to the west. mid and upper 50s. and we'll keep it in the lower 50s underneath the clouds to the east. there's our snow maker. back in the midwest, rain out ahead of it. i've got a timeline on what to expect and when with this storm straight ahead. >> heather: we'll check in with you in just a bit, though. check out this surveillance camera video, the moment of a woman getting hit by a minivan, as she tried to cross the street in a crosswalk. police still looking for the driver. >> jason: live at that intersection this morning, stephanie coueignoux. they noticed something on the van about that video that could help them track it down this weekend. >> reporter: yeah, they're telling us, there was actually a piece of paper taped to one of the van's windows and they're hoping that detail generates some information. i'm standing near that intersection of fourth and

way, you can see the crosswalk right here behind me. this is the crosswalk where that woman was when she was hit. a surveillance camera captured the disturbing hit and run. at the bottom of the screen, you can see the woman standing in the crosswalk. from the left, a white minivan drives up, hitting the 72-year-old, and knocking her to the ground. the van keeps on driving, as the woman lies there in the middle of the road. >> it was so joke -- who would >> reporter: chelsea police say the woman was rushed to the hospital with a cut to her forehead and other injuries but is expected to be okay. in the meantime, they're asking for the public's help in finding this minivan and its driver. >> it was a horrible person. because that would be like your mom your grandma. >> reporter: police say the van appears to be an older model dodge caravan with a piece of paper taped to the back rear window.

we could get snowfall sooner rather than later. >> jason brewer: as you get out early tomorrow morning. that's when you get the accumulating snow that could cause problems on the road. you see the storm in the midwest headed our way. now flying into michigan and northern illinois. meanwhile, we are inleasing the clouds in southeastern mass. out ahead of this storm. right now, watching the edge of that cloud watching it all westward. right over the hingham area right now. headed into the boston harbor over the next hour or so. the farther west the longer you stay in the sunshine. temperatures not bad. our average high this time of year is around 50 in boston. we're almost there already. so it's warming up pretty nicely. upper 40s in boston now. temperatures area wide are kind of mixed out.

mid and upper 40s going westward. mildest weather away from the water. the coolest, cloudiest weather on the coast. let's track those clouds at say noontime coming in near the i-95 corridor. coming up, across most of essex and for folk county. by 5:00, most of the area spotted over. a light drizzle or shower for your pin dinner plans. but no even a low risk for some snow to be impacting you on your sunday morning. wake up temp time. there are your mid and upper 30s to the west where the snow threat will be. but meanwhile, 40s waking up tomorrow morning across the rest of the area will prevent any accumulation of any snow or wintry weather. there's midnight. see the showers begin to increase. at 6:00 in the morning. a ban of heavier rain as the

watch for the snow in the morning. 1 to 3 inches for the berks. in worcester, i think maybe a coating is certainly possible. as this flips over from rain to snow between about 6:00 and 9:00 a.m. we'll be looking for pictures on fox 25 news in the morning. grounds too warm for anything on the roads. cars grassy surfaces, that will be the deal. on sunday evening, the cold air continues to move in. really not going to be much precipitation le north. we'll get those blustery winds out of the backside out of it out of the northwest, could see scattered snow showers all the way to the east coast, over to cape cod by sunday night and monday morning. so it's the blustery couple of days. and it's colder than normal. tuesday, not a bad day. by late wednesday, our next weather maker could be on the way, with a chance of some wintery precipitation. that will be on thanksgiving day. >> turkey.
