the water. investigate investigators say the driver managed to hop out before the car went into the water. right now worcester police are searching for the driver who allegedly dragged a pedestrian. the victim was dragged about 100 feet sunday afternoon at the corner of sycamore and beacon. investigators believe the man was leaning into the car to speak with someone when the driver sped away. the victim was initially listed in serious condition. officers believe they are loin odyssey. police are looking into a deadly drive in tewksbury. investigators say a 70-year-old man has died after being hit by a pick-up truck on shawsheen street. this was last night. according to the d.a., the driver remained on the seaboard and -- on the scene and is cooperating with police. >> christa: police are searching for suspects after a deadly attack that happened in everett. jennifer eagan has more on this investigation that's unfolding. jen? >> jennifer: christa, sources tell us the shooting happened

police responded to ferry street sunday afternoon. sources tell us that the victim in this case, michael daube, was shot and stabbed by two suspects who took off and headed toward boston. a witness describes the chaotic scene. >> the guy that got shot, he had to come out to the street. he was right over there. and he kent on saying he couldn't breathe, he couldn't breathe. so the girl said, stay with us, stay with us. is still going on. >> jennifer: and this morning the investigation continues. police are still searching for the two suspects. in the newsroom, jennifer eagan, 7news "today in new england." >> christa: all right, jen, thank you. happening today, the driver accused of hitting and dragging a billerica police officer is due in court. according to the "globe," 28-year-old eric overland turned himself in to police on saturday one day after this alleged assault and battery. this all started when two officers were investigating some

investigators say one of the officers approached the car. that's when the suspect threw a needle on the floor, put the car in reverse, and then struck the officer. he was dragged roughly 15 feet, but he's said to be recovering. >> sarah: breaking overnight, twitter is back online after a brief outage. the social media site was down for several minutes earlier this morning in the u.s., japan and parts of europe. it comes after wikileaks reported a cyber attack on its e- there's no word yet on why the outage happened. >> christa: breaking overnight, a suspect in custody after a shooting that left a georgia deputy dead and another injured. officials say two officers were responding to a call about a dispute at a home. that's when the suspect opened fire. one officer was killed. the other is in critical condition this morning. >> sarah: new this morning, several people are injured after an earthquake hit central oklahoma. the magnitude 5.0 earthquake damaged a number of buildings

yet. i haven't started cooking and it's already dark. got to be kidding, right? it gets earlier in terms of daylight hours in the morning. so you see sun rising pre7:00. 37 in boston. 31 in bedford. look at the 24-hour temperature difference, and yesterday morning we started off on the milder side from 10 to 15 degrees. of course, we had some showers that rolled on through. those bouncy pieces of snow were kind of picking all over the place when a couple of these wind out of the north 12mph in boston. a little breeze, but not expecting much of a wind throughout the day. wind-chill factor, 29 in boston. 27 in worcester. so certainly feels cooler outside. and most of the area has cleared on out, although take a look at this arc of clouds that stretches from cape cod up through the gulf of maine. that continues to back in toward the cape and the islands and even a few of these clouds building in, backing into plymouth county. across southeastern mass,

battle this morning. maybe a sprinkle or two, but for the most part, expecting mainly dry day. look at the first tomorrow across new england. hardly anything going on in terms of clouds or precipitation. it's a mild day. we're talking about high temperatures enter the 60s. low to mid-60s on election day. wednesday scattered showers. it will be cooler on wednesday. and behind the front, cooler on thursday, and as we go into friday, saturday, sunday, the trend cns to go down, although friday w the front was still in the 50s. 40s here as you get into the weekend. across the country, a little action going on across the middle part of the country, especially down toward texas and showers extending all the way back this afternoon up to oklahoma and kansas. but this system here not a huge rain maker for us as it crosses on through. again, it will be that cool front on wednesday. secondary front crosses on friday. behind it we mean business in terms of chilly air building in over the weekend.

crews finished demolishing the highland avenue bridge ahead of schedule. traffic has been flowing normally since the project finished sunday morning. it was detoured around the bridge as crews worked throughout the weekend. right now all lanes along route 128 are open. the demolition of the old tolls to be mass pike continues on schedule. tollbooths have been removed from west springfield, chicago pee and westfield. phase one of the project will be complete soon. they also say construction is ahead places across the state. in the newsroom, danielle gersh, 7news "today in new england." >> christa: well, the celtics looking to rebound from a tough performance against the nuggets. denver scoring 42 points in the first quarter at the garden last night. isaiah thomas scoring 30 for the cs, but boston's defense couldn't view enough to make it much of a game. and the c's lost 123-107. now they take on the wizards down in d.c. coming up wednesday night some the patriots enjoyed

victim has been identified as michael daube. this encounter may have been triggered by a drug deal. police are searching for two suspects this morning. police are looking into a crash in tewksbury. investigators say a 70-year-old man died after being hit by a pick-up on shawsheen street last night. according to the d.a., the driver did remain at the scene and is now cooperating with police. and closing arguments for the presidential candidates. election day tomorrow. hillary clinton and donald trump are trying to gather some donald trump is holding a marathon five rallies in five states. he did that over the weekend. he'll be in new hampshire today. president obama also in new hampshire today to campaign for hillary clinton. >> sarah: this morning boston police are trying the track down whoever is behind a hateful message spray painted on a mission hill building. it's urging violence against trump supporters, and this is just part of a troubling trend across the nation. 7's nicole oliverio live in boston with more. nicole?

election has been nasty really for months, but with 24 hours left, police are now investigating. now, the good news is that graffiti has been spray painted over, but it appeared here at the school as the museum of fine arts, and it spread about 20 feet. it was written in white letters all across this gray building that. message read, "kill your local trump supporter." now boston police are trying to figure out who sprayed this disturbing message. we actually saw police driving by circling around the school earlier this morning some it's not cool when first appeared, but once somebody reported it, it was covered up. this isn't the only place this is happening. there are three teenagers in mississippi facing charges for allegedly spray painting anti-hillary clinton graffiti. that happening on a building in the city of meridian. according to police there, the teens painted killary and other messages. the teens were caught in mississippi last week. boston police still investigating. it's unclear what if any charges

facing. that's the latest live in roxbury, nicole oliverio, 7news "today in new england." >> sarah: right now police are investigating after shots were fired in boston. officers say the bullet shattered several windows at a home last night. no one was hurt. so far no arrests have been made. >> christa: and police are searching for suspects after man was shot and killed in dorchester. this happened early saturday. investigators say the victim went to the hospital himself but later was pronounced dead. boston is making changes after two officers were shot by a constable. 7's kris anderson joins us with a closer look at what constables will now be required to do. kris? >> kris: sarah, some changes are coming. boston police beginning to notify the city's nearly 300 constables they must be fingerprinted so authorities can run out-of-state background checks on them. this move comes a month after 33-year-old constable kirk figueroa shot two police officers in east boston.

was approved back in april without debate, but officials say they didn't know he had a criminal history out of state. officers were responding to domestic incidents at figueroa's apartment when he began shooting at them. more officers stepped in and returned fire on figueroa and he was eventually killed. two police officers, matthew morris and richard cintolo were shot multiple times. this morning both have been released from the hospital and are continuing their recovery at home. constables have until february to get fingerprinted or their authority to wor may be suspended. live in the newsroom, kris anderson, 7news "today in new england." >> christa: kris, thank you. new details now on gun control here in massachusetts. a suffolk superior court rules that the gun manufacturer glock has to send records to attorney general maura healey. now, healey requested the documents as part of an investigation into safety issues with glock firearms. the gun company says it should not have to provide these documents because it doesn't

massachusetts buyers. >> sarah: investigate, are looking for witnesses in the roxbury fire that killed one person and severely burned another. right now they are still trying to determine what started the fire at the condemned home. the flames broke out saturday morning, eventually causing the house to collapse. authorities say homeless people lived in that home. >> christa: and we have more news today. while the pats had a bye week, some players took time to show support for boston police. devin mccourty, legarrette blount, matthew slater and owner bob commissioner evans on sunday. they then went to the dorchester teen center to watch a basketball game between police officers and kids from the area. >> sarah: still ahead on 7news, connecticut police investigating after several cars and a home go up in flames. the question this morning: did someone set the fires on purpose? >> christa: and a suspected serial killer in south carolina officially charged after confessing to four different murders. >> sarah: and this morning we're hearing from a local confess taptd were she takes the stage tonight for a live
