good evening, thanks for joining us...i'm jodi whitworth. police arrested brendan mc - guinness in des moines this afternoon... after they say he shot and killed gino risola in front of his waukee home.. des moines police found mc - guinness in the 2700 block of capitol avenue around 3 - 30 this afternoon. officers responded to a report of a "man down" and recognized the suspect. according to police he was transported to broadlawns hospital -- then booked into the dallas county jail. however all of this began around 1 - 30 this morning. the vicitms wife told police the suspect was waiting for she and her husband to arrive home. police say the suspect shot risola in the street in the 5 - hundred block of south - east carefree lane in waukee. risola was taken to the hospital where he later died. it is the city's first murder in nearly 40 years. 21:20:12 "you know what, waukee is a safe place to live - that's the main thing. this was an isolated incident. in no way does it reflect on the community or its people." :01-:08 the department of criminal

investigations is now handling the case. there is no word on a motive meanwhile des moines police say they are making progess last night's homicide's case. 28 - year - old jose lopez was found dead in the intersection of 13 - th street and jefferson avenue. police say he was shot several times. investigators say more than one suspect has been identified. they are not releasing that information to the public at this time. this is the city's 14 - th homicide of the year. an ankeny teen is now home safe.... after missing for nearly a week. police 16-year-old shianna davis was last seen on monday night on ankeny's south - west side. police say the girl voluntarily left the area... but this afternoon...she was found in a shelter in des moines... she was uninjured. police need your help locating a pick up truck that was stolen at gas station.. the truck was reported stolen around 8 at night on thursday at the kum and go on south east 14 - th. the owner says he left the car running
