bin accident... good evening, i'm sonya heitshusen. and i'm dan winters. two men were working at the grain bin, when one of them disappeared underneath the corn... the owner of the bin quickly called 9-1-1 to his farm... located near murray.... which is near the clarke and union county line... authorities say eric reasland... a hired hand was breaking up a layer of crust that developed on top of the grain. the owner ran the auger, while reasland chipped away at the crust. after nearly ten minutes, the owner checked on reasland, but couldn't find him. rescue crews punched several holes in the bin in an attempt to save reasland... but it was too late. 11:48:05 what they do is vent the grain bin to get the grain rolling in all directions. you don't vent it, it sucks him in deeper. 11:48:15 to the cut i suppose five holes and now they got grain vacs in there trying to pull grain

directions so they can get down to the subject. 11:48:25 reasland was pulled out of the bin about three hours after he disappeared. crews performed c-p-r, but he was pronounced dead at the hospital. investigators are now focusing on a pond, as they search for a missing des moines teenager. 17 - year - old sam kemp disappeared this weekend. he was last seen at a party in granger... channel 13's jodi whitworth is following this story. she joins us with more.... authorities are calling the search for sammy kemp one of the most extensive searches in recent memory but family members are saying search crews are not doing enough 365618 - hes 17 years old, anything could happen. he could be out in the woods hurt, cant get to a phone anything and your just handling it like hes another run away candice carr is the missing boy's sister. she says family members are eager to search for sammy themselves..
