the timing, coming up. thema: flight for life is called in when a 25-year-old woman is severely burned after an accident at a backyard fire pit. according to the germantown fire chief, the woman and some friends were sitting around a fire pit at a home on kings way. someone threw gas on the fire, and it splashed onto the woman, and she caught on fire. two people tried to drive her to the hospital, but stopped at the mcdonald's on county line road to call 911 for help. this was around 1:00 in the morning. flight for life took the woman to the burn unit at st. joseph's -- at st. mary's hospital in milwaukee. we're told she has second and third degree burns over 40% of her body. a second woman and a man are also in the hospital with serious burns. happening now, a manhunt in washington state after police say a suspect killed four women inside a mall north of seattle. within the last two hours, the police have announced the man

investigators say around 7:00 last night, a man walked into the macy's store and started shooting. 4 women died last night. police were able to safely evacuate the mall in burlington, which is about 65-miles north of seattle, but were unable to catch the shooter. investigators have released this surveillance photo of the man they think carried out the attack. >> we are actively looking for the shooter. we caution people to stay indoors. stay secure if you see something, stay some -- if you see something, say something. stay in your houses until we can get this guy caught. thema: this morning, the fbi and the bureau of alcohol, tobacco, firearms, and explosives have stepped in to help local police. developing overnight, a fourth night of protests through charlotte's business district remained peaceful. groups are urging the police department to release body and dash camera video of the deadly officer involved shooting of keith lamont scott earlier in the week.

but many stayed on the streets beyond the midnight deadline. because the groups were peaceful, no arrests were made. there have been no reports of damage or looting. today, the hbo documentary "beware the slenderman" makes its midwest debut at the milwaukee film festival. the documentary is based on the real life case of the two, 12-year-old waukesha girls accused of stabbing their classmate to please the fictional character slender man. the movie director reportedly received exclusive access to the families involved for 18-months. both girls are still awaiting trial. their victim survived and continues to recover. the film screening is at 2:00 this afternoon at the oriental theatre. there is also a screening of the documentary "can you dig this?" which explores urban gardening in the food deserts of los angeles. a food desert is a neighborhood with limited access to stores with affordable fresh fruits, vegetables, and meat. areas on milwaukee's west side a

u.s. department of agriculture. the director, along with alderwoman milele coggs, will lead a panel discussion after the movie, which is at 10:30 this morning at the oriental theatre. the panel discussion starts at 12:30 at the milwaukee film festival lounge on prospect avenue. later today, the milwaukee police department is holding an open house for teenagers interested in joining the police aide program. it's open to 17 to 19-year-olds who are considering a future in law enforcement. you can get more details at an police academy near mill road and teutonia. the open house runs from 10:00 until 1:00. the waukesha county sheriff's department offers a similar program called the explorers program. it's for young adults 15 to 21-years-old. they get hands on experience of what it's like to be in law enforcement. >> it inspires me more.

in light of these police shootings, we wanted to know what the next generation of law enforcement thinks. only on wisn 12, adrienne pedersen spoke with teenagers in waukesha county already hoping to wear a badge someday. >> i get a lot that are like, why would you want to do that? friends at school and stuff, and other people who know that i want to be a police officer do ask a for this? 18-year-olds jazmine luther and taylor weiss get that question a lot. they're part of the waukesha county sheriff's explorers. the group is made up of young adults from 15 to 21-years-old. they get hands on experience of what it's like to be in law enforcement. >> in any profession, there are bad and good people in. adrienne: despite the unrest luther saw in milwaukee and what's happening now in charlotte, she still wants to be a patrol officer. >> police officers are human, too.

degrees. thunderstorms return on sunday. i will go over the timing, coming up. thema: we continue following is out of germantown. light for life was called for a 25-year-old woman who was severely burned after an accident at a backyard fire pit. according to the germantown fire chief, the woman and some friends were sitting around a fire pit at a home on kings way. someone threw gas on the fire, and it splashed onto the woman, and she caught on fire. two people tried to drive her to the hospital, but stopped at the mcdonald's on county line road to call 911 for help. flight for life took the woman to the burn unit at st. joseph's -- st. mary's hospital in milwaukee. we're told she has second and third degree burns over 40% of her body. a second woman and a man are -- a second woman also has burns over 40% of her body and is in the hospital, so is a man that

we're told she has second and third degree burns over 40% of her body. two other people were also burned while trying to help the woman put out the fire. right now, a massive search is underway in washington state for this man, wanted for shooting and killing four people at a mall about an hour outside of seattle. witnesses say he walked into a macy's store and opened fire at the makeup counter. police say 4 women were killed. one man who was in critical condition died this morning. the mall was immediately put on lockdown and eventually evacuated. state troopers are now searching for the suspected gunman, who was last seen heading toward a nearby interstate. they're warning residents that he is armed and dangerous. everyone is being asked to stay inside and avoid the area around the mall. police say a motive for the shooting is still unclear. we'll continue to follow this developing story throughout the morning.
