this happened across from the marquette university campus. a suspect ran inside around 10:30 p.m. and stole the cash and ran away. the police sent out a safety alert to the students. now around at the same time, someone tried to rob the real chile restaurant. police say that the suspect made a threat and money. it is unclear whether the two robberies are related. no one was hurt. andy? >> tim, thank you. the family of a man shot and killed by the wauwatosa police is requesting a federal investigation into the case, after learning that the officer is not going to be charged. hilly mintz is live with the latest. hillary? reporter: and we are outside of the milwaukee district

building, this is where the da decided not to charge the officer. anderson was shot six times. anderson's family maintains that the officer acted unlawfully and the department investigation. now video from the dash cam was released yesterday. in it, it shows anderson seated in the vehicle with the hands raised. a report is saying that the officer fired after anderson appeared to reach for a gun on the passenger seat. the officer is returning to the force now that he's cleared in the shooting. anderson's family upset about that and they are planning to request a federal investigation

rescued by someone who was just passing by and when the crews arrived they could pt get the deputy out safely. heavy rain probably caused a sewer line to leak and cause 89 the gaping hole. >> a curfew in place and businesses are closed in gatlinburg, tennessee after the wild fires swept through. clean up is continuing stay the night. the town is expected to reopen for the visitors and drivers on friday. >> despite a victory, several pipeline protestor are still at the north dakota camp braving the blizzard conditions. on sunday, the developers we are denied the easement for the pipeline, leaders with the tribe are asking protestor to leave and saying that the purpose has been served.

out the door this morning. we're also tracking when snow might return. good morning and welcome to "wisn 12 news this morning" i'm melinda davenport. andy: and i'm andy choi. ben has the morning off. it's 5:30 on this tuesday, december 6th. meteorologist sally severson is in the weather center. >> early morning temperatures showing up 31-39 degrees. a few more hours today for the colder air alives later and tonight. we time out the weekend snow chances. a little snow is possible this afternoon, just a few flurries. the window is between 1:00 and 4:00 as it is moving through. there is the holiday train visiting milwaukee. right now 39. the winds are south at 5. the winds will shift out of the west and the temperatures will be falling.
