traffic map = major delays yellow on traffic map = some delays green on traffic map = no delays a busy mornn fire department. first crews were first called to a house fire near ear 4th and keefe last night. the red cross says it's helping 5 adults and 9 children after the blaze. the fire department has not released any information about what may have sparked the fire or how much damage was caused. then around three this morning firefighters were called to the a business on brown deer road for reports of a fire. when our crews got to the scene smoke was coming out of kangaroo milwaukee -- which is a family entertainment center. no word yet on what caused the fire or if anyone was hurt.

bureau is responding as part of the investigation. and a vacant house goes up in flames on milwaukee's north side. this happened around five this morning near 42nd and florist. again -- all of the fires remain under investigation. and an overnight shooting is under investigation as well. we're told a 29-year-old man was shot near 44th and stark just before midnight. he was taken to the hospital.. police have not released information on the victim's current condition or anything about possible suspects. an infant is the latest victim a two-month-old girl -- shot while riding in a car on interstate 43. fox 6s derica williams joins us live near port washington and hampton where the scene unfolded. thankfully, north shore fire and rescue says the infant is expected to live. she went to children's hospital for treatment. this all happened around five yesterday evening. the infant was in a car was going northbound on 43 when the incident happened. after the shooting,

pulled into a parking lot. meanwhile, milwaukee county sheriff's deputies closed northbound 43 at keefe for an hour sunday evening to figure out where the shooting happened. witnesses on scene were just hoping the little girl pulled through. its unspeakable. especially for a little kid, that age, to have to go through this, and for the parents to deal with this sad situation. the sheriff's office hasn't said what led up to the shooting... where the bullet came from... or if there are any suspects. the trial for a milwaukee sex offender -- accused of re-offending-- begins today. police say 67-year-old jameel ali sexually assaulted a woman back in may.

he was released back to the community on april 20, with the requirement that he inform officials if he moved. but police say he cut off his g-p-s monitoring device so officers couldn't find him. his trial begins later this morning. also this morning-- michael morgan's deadly arson trial will continue. this comes after a witness was scheduled to be in court last week... but never showed up. officials say they found the witness -- and are holding him in the milwaukee county jail on unrelated charges. morgan is accused of setting a fire in milwaukee that killed two young children last october. an autopsy will be done later today on a woman whose body was found over the weekend. milwaukee police responded to the scene near 1st and keefe saturday afternoon. the medical examiner's office says the victim is an adult female. the circumstances surrounding the death are under investigation-- but police are calling it a homicide. milwaukee police are investigating a crash that killed two women. it happened shortly after one yesterday morning near 32-nd and hampton. officials say a man lost control of his s-u-v and hit a utility

the cops were right behind them. it was like a blink of an eye, everybody was here medics treated the girl here before taking her to the hospital. they say her injuries are not life- threatening. the sheriff's office hasn't said what led up to the shooting, or if there are any suspects. dw fox six news. the murder trial for a man who wanted list is expected to get underway today. 37-year-old alberto rivera was wanted in connection with a homicide that happened near 57th and national back in april 2015. two people were shot during the incident. one them later died. rivera is charged with possession of a firearm as a felon. he has pleaded not guilty. rivera already spent 15 years of his life in prison for felony murder. he was released in late 2013. also in court today - the west

interstate 90 - as part of a multi- county crime spree. investigators say the shooting on the interstate came just hours after zachary hays killed his neighbor... gabriel sanchez... at a west allis apartment building. hays was eventually arrested after a shootout with police in madison. he pleaded not guilty in both milwaukee and sauk counties. hays' arraignment will be at 8:30 this morning in milwaukee. as we inch closer to the presidential election --- today we should learn more details about absentee voting here in milwaukee. mayor tom barrett -- along with the milwaukee election director-- will announce the hours for in-person absentee voting this morning. this is for the upcoming november 8-th elections. you must apply for an absentee ballot by five p-m november third. the ballot must be delivered to the clerk's office or postmarked by election day. president obama will met with some congressional leaders today as the federal funding deadline quickly approaches. but first-- health is suddenly at the forefront of discussions for the presidential candidates. angelica is in the newsroom with details.

m: lime, egg, english muffin ingredients 1 thomas original english muffins 1 egg 2 oz ground pork 110 g meat on the street marinade 70 g for pork, 40 g for slaw 50 g red cabbage 150 g green cabbage 20 g sliced onion 50 g matchstick carrots 40 g lime juice 40 g sugar 5 g cilantro tsp fish sauce tsp ground pepper 2 g green onions the pork: take the ground pork and marinate with your choice of sauce or seasoning. we use our family recipe marinade. mix in by hand. leave in fridge overnight. veggie slaw: slice green cabbage. slice red cabbage. slice onion. toss in carrots. mix this all together. lime slaw sauce: in a bowl, pour in lime juice. add white sugar. add minced cilantro. add fish sauce. if you arent familiar with this ingredient, you will be able to find it at your local grocery store, most likely in the asian food
