and in whitewater - a home is a total loss after a fire. a neighbor reportedly saw smoke coming from the house...but by the time firefighters arrived..the house was engulfed in flames. no one was home at the time....and there were no injuries. a fire inspector is now investigating what caused it. kim back to you. the milwaukee county sheriff's office needs your help in finding a vehicle that may have in this weekend's freeway shooting. a 2-month-old girl was injured when bullets i-43 and hampton. the suspect's car is believed to be a newer lincoln foor-door sedan, that is maroon or dark red similar to this one. the windows are heavily tinted. the car was last seen exiting at hampton-- heading east. anyone with any information should call the sheriff's office. the preliminary hearing for the man accused of stealing a car at gun point-- then leading police on a high speed chase is delayed until next week. that's because a witness didn't showed up to court yesterday.

police say he stole a lexus at gunpoint august 8th... and was seen driving it august 30th. according to court documents... a milwaukee police officer chased the stolen lexus from milwaukee to wauwatosa... reaching speeds as high as 90 miles an hour. at one point the defendant allegedly blew through a stop light and hit another vehicle. the judge granted a short adjournment when the witness didn't show. we did subpoena a witness back on the 8th, that witness, because of scheduling i guess never saw the subpoena and i guess is not available to be called in. the prelimn rescheduled for next week. also in court-- a fond du lac county judge recuses himself from the dennis brantner case. back in june-- brantner's trial for the murder of berit beck ended with a hung jury. yesterday's hearing was to discuss the possibility of a re-trial-- which is when judge gary sharpe announced he would step aside. he said his impartiality could be questioned-- based on comments he made outside of court. beck disappeared in 19-90 when making

only on fox6... police in oak creek say a former church employee embezzled nearly 100-thousand dollars. 44-year old kelly fischer worked at grace lutheran church for four years... until she resigned this past march. she was 'acting director' at the churchs early childhood center, or e-c-c... and was responsible for tuition payments from parents. some of those payments were cash... and police say most of them never found their way back to the church. instead, investigators say tickets to a garth brooks concert... and spent the money at burlington coat factory, v-i-p nails and mattress firm. her former employer says none of these purchases were authorized. tm 'there was cash there but we also had a debit card that she used to do cash withdrawals from the atm machines.' the church has since changed policies... and has eliminated debit cards altogether. they also require two people to be present to count cash... and keep it in a

kenosha police are looking for the suspects who robbed three banks. and the crimes may be connected. all three banks were robbed in a span of 35 minutes yesterday afternoon. the suspect hit the chase bank on washington road first-- then, another chase bank on 6th avenue.... and ended at the johnson bank on 60th street. police say the suspect description appears to be the same man-- but he would've needed to act fast. the first location was robbed at 1:56. he then went more than 2 miles away-- hitting th the third location-- another 2-and-a-half miles away at 2:30. no one was hurt in any of the cases. a former milwaukee police officer -- in trouble with the law again. gilberto collado - was tazed after he tried to run from a traffic stop. it happened last week near 10th and layton last week. in his car, police found a stolen pistol that appeared to be modified for smoking crack cocaine. last month, collado was arrested near

police say when he was taken into custody-- he was carrying a bag with an ax inside. more than two dozen dogs are now getting the care they need... they've been removed from a home police say was covered in feces and had a strong odor of urin. 33-year-old heather jensen and her boyfriend terry bogard are charged with 26 counts of animal mistreatment. neighbors say they had complained to law enforcement since june about abuse they say they witnessed. they were keeping dogs in th van and they were leaving them overnight in their cages and there was an extreme amount of them. court documents show jensen was running a foster home for dogs out of her house called lucky mutts. but the department of agriculture trade and consumer protection says the facility never received the proper license from the state. according to lucky mutts' facebook page... jensen had served as the president of the dog rescue group. she has since been removed from

walker announced the two-point-five million dollar investment following the riots near sherman park. the access centers will be open one day a week...for the next five weeks. it will move to a different location each week. next week, the program will be at the parklawn assembly church near sherman park. milwaukee area technical college is holding an informational session today for students displaced by the closure of i-t-t tech campuses. tonight at m-a-t-c's oak creek campus. attendees will be able to meet academic counselors and financial aid specialists. i-t-t tech closed it's locations nationwide after the federal government decided the for-profit school could no longer enroll students using federal financial aid. a driver crashes into three police officers -- and it was all caught on camera. the charges the driver may soon face. democrats-- calling for an investigation into the trump foundation...

car. it happened yesterday outside of a gas station in phoenix, arizona. you can see the officers standing in the parking lot when the car struck them. the vehicle then hit a police car before crashing into a convenience store. all three officers are expected to recover. the driver was also hospitalized. officials say the crash was intentional. the driver is expected to be charged with attempted murder and aggravated assault. edwa pardon from president obama. snowden has been charged with violations of the espionage act for revealing classified information. snowden said the leaks were ethical because they revealed the scope of n-s-a surveillance. but the white house says the way the information was released harmed national security and put citizens in danger. snowden is currently living in russia. the white house says snowden needs to return to the u-s and face the charges against him.

ban designed to stop syrian refugees from resettling in indiana, will be challenged in court. the state of indiana will appear this morning in the u-s court of appeals in chicago. the state is challenging a february ruling by a u-s district judge saying governor mike pence didn't have the authority to stop the refugees. since then, families have been free to resettle there. the state will argue the ban should be put back in place, as a way to screen people who recently lived in syria. calling for a federal investigation of the trump foundation. in 20-13, the foundation donated 25-thousand dollars to florida attorney general pam bondi's campaign. bondi's office was considering legal action against trump university. she never sued trump but says the donation had nothing to do with it. it's back to business tomorrow for democratic presidential candidate hillary clinton... she will be back on the campaign trail tomorrow-- after sitting out to recover from pneumonia.

behalf. bill clinton says his wife has been "feeling great." the south is preparing for another tropical storm... meanwhile-- more than a thousand people are evacuated from taiwan in wake of super typhoon meranti. angelica joins us from the newsroom with the details. china is now issuing a red alert as the typhoon makes its way north of taiwan. the typhoon -- pounding on the island. officials say the storm has weakened, but it's still capable of bringing winds of torrential rains. nearly 400 flights have been canceled to the area, train services have been suspended and schools and offices across southern taiwan are closed. two people have been hurt and more than 260-thousand households are without power. almost four-thousand military and police personnel have been deployed for further evacuations. the typhoon is expected to make landfall on mainland china tomorrow morning. back in the u-s... the atlantic coast is bracing for tropical

being hailed a hero after getting all 20 of her students off her bus engulfed in flames and it was all caught on camera... the flames broke out on the bus as she was making her last run of the day. she says the bus started making noises and shortly after she could smell smoke and saw the fire from her side view mirror. she stopped, secured the bus, then escorted each kid-- ages four to nine-- out of the bus to
