man is now in custody... facing five counts of attempted murder of a law enforcement officer... after a shootout in new york. that man was named a suspect in saturday's bombings in new york city and new jersey over the weekend. kim murphy's in the newsroom with more on how police tracked down admad rahami after investigators released a photo of rahami... it was only a matter of hours before police tracked him down. rahami... who is believed to be seen on surveillance cameras near the night.... is a naturalized u-s citizen from afghanistan. authorities say a backpack of explosives found in elizabeth yesterday morning... was at rehami's last known address. police eventually tracked him down not far from there in linden... where he was arrested after a shootout. " now that we have a suspect in custody the investigation can focus on other aspects, such as whether this individual acted alone and what his motivations may have been." the f-b-i is now examining the undetonated bombs found in new

rahami's family and friends. in recent years many communities have held active shooter trainings to better prepare its citizens in the event of an active shooter at their school or place of business. and today the brookfield police department is opening its doors for the public to get informed. julie collins has the latest. the mass shootings in san bernadino - orlando - north carolina - and aurora, colorado to name a few... sparked action across the country, and hee wisconsin. first responders say no place can be considered off limits when it comes to mass shootings. and so officers as well as citizens need to be prepared for every scenario. the video we're showing you is of other drills and trainings that have happened are the greater milwaukee area. todays in brookfield theyll talk about three options you have when facing an active shooter situation - to run, hide or fight. the goal for first responders in these situations is to get to the

stop the shooter before the number of victims rises. the active shooter training session is geared toward those with area businesses, but it was open to everyone. many officials saying drills like this are important, and it's important for the public to be involved, because they are the ones that will see and hear the most when these incidents unfold. todays trianing is being held at the brookfield public safety building on north calhoun road. it begins at 9:00am and runs until 10:30 and its open and free to all residents. reporting in brookfield, julie collins. fox 6 news. an off-duty milwaukee police officer is arrested for drunk driving-- and accused of rear ending a squad car. mpd says it happened saturday afternoon near 76th and the squad car was stopped at an intersection-- when it was hit from behind. the driver turned out to be a 48-year- old woman-- who's been an officer with mpd for 22 years. investigators say she was off-duty-- but under the influence. neighbors of the officer says the incident doesn't fit her character. "very kind-hearted, her children come first her family comes first. as neighbors, i grew up with her she is like a mom to me."

carol mullins says she tripped and fell on her face in her home in colorado... but her insurance company won't handle her bill because she was legally drunk. the 55 year old says she tripped because her grandchildren left a sled partially hidden behind a chair back in march - and insists she would have tripped over that sled sober too. mullins fractured a cheekbone. her insurance company says its policy speaks for itself... but suggested mullins file an appeal. three people... treated for injuries after a fight breaks out at a golden it all started in the kitchen... where a cook says he was being bullied as he washed dishes. that cook was then accused of grabbing a two and a half foot long skewer used to roast chickens... and assaulting two co-workers and a customer. the fight spilled into the dining area. that customer who was attacked managed to subdue the cook... and hold him down until police arrived. the cook is charged with four counts of malicious wounding. straight ahead on wakeup - we're following the very latest developments after police arrest the east coast bombing suspect in a

morning in mount pleasant. a live report for the scene is straight ahead. plus.. the suspect in the bombings in new jersey and new york city is charged with five counts of attempted murder. ahead what we are learning about his background. good morning and welcome back to wakeup! time now x:xx weather forecast from fox6 meteorologist rob haswell high pressure takes over for one day however, last nights rain coupled with clearing skies has lead to some dense fog this morning. that will take until mid-morning to clear. highs today will be in the upper 70s but dewpoints will be falling. that is temporary however as another warm front pushes our way with another round of storms starting tonight and into wednesday. we stay unstable into thursday with even a slight chance of storms into friday. the weekend cools to near 70 with a slight chance for showers or thunderstorms each day.
