man is now in custody... facing five counts of attempted murder of a law enforcement officer... after a shootout in new york. that man was named a suspect in saturday's bombings in new york city and new jersey over the weekend. kim murphy's in the newsroom with more on how police tracked down admad rahami after investigators released a photo of rahami... it was only a matter of hours before police tracked him down. rahami... who is believed to be seen on surveillance cameras near the night.... is a naturalized u-s citizen from afghanistan. authorities say a backpack of explosives found in elizabeth yesterday morning... was at rehami's last known address. police eventually tracked him down not far from there in linden... where he was arrested after a shootout. " now that we have a suspect in custody the investigation can focus on other aspects, such as whether this individual acted alone and what his motivations may have been." the f-b-i is now examining the undetonated bombs found in new

rahami's family and friends. in recent years many communities have held active shooter trainings to better prepare its citizens in the event of an active shooter at their school or place of business. and today the brookfield police department is opening its doors for the public to get informed. julie collins has the latest. the mass shootings in san bernadino - orlando - north carolina - and aurora, colorado to name a few... sparked action across the country, and hee wisconsin. first responders say no place can be considered off limits when it comes to mass shootings. and so officers as well as citizens need to be prepared for every scenario. the video we're showing you is of other drills and trainings that have happened are the greater milwaukee area. todays in brookfield theyll talk about three options you have when facing an active shooter situation - to run, hide or fight. the goal for first responders in these situations is to get to the

"very kind-hearted, her children come first her family comes first. as neighbors, i grew up with her she is like a mom to me."

shootout with rahami... but neither of them suffered life-threatening injuries. rahami was wanted in connection to several explosions in new york and new jersey this weekend - including one in chelsea that injured nearly 30 people. after investigators sent out alerts with his picture.... a bar owner called police... after spotting the suspect sleeping right in front of his business. "so he moved toward his left and, like, he was slouching...tried to take out something. that's the point when cop took out the gun and he pointed toward him and it went so fast. it happened in, like, 15, this morning... law enforcement is still working to learn more about the suspect. rahami reportedly wasn't on any terror or no-fly watch lists. at this point... police say they aren't looking for any other suspects. happening now - a discussion about the relationship between police and the black community. state senator lena taylor ...
