say a 36-year-old man is fighting for his life after being shot m the shooting happened just before 10 near 37th and townsend. officials say its unclear what led up to the shooting...and the victim is in "very critical condition." police continue to search for a suspect. officials in racine county investigating an attempted armed robbery. it happened in the town norway yesterday evening. angelica joins us now with what we know about the suspects. police say two women entered the gas station on loomis road...and attempted to steal money from the cash register using a knife. the two suspects were already

scene....but they did not take any money or property in the incident and no one was hurt. police have released these pictures of the suspects. they are described as two white women in their late teens to early twenties. both have thin builds. an older buick lesabre with a tan vinyl roof is believed to be involved. if you recognized the suspects - police asking you to give them a call. two teen girls are recovering after they were attacked by pit bulls. yesterday afternoon. police were called to 48th and west dean road. authorities say the dogs lived in the same home as one of the victims. brown deer police shot both dogs -- one died on scene. the other dog was taken by madacc -- the owner requested it be euthanized. a neighbor says it might not be the first time one of the dogs got aggressive. "i was walking down 48th street here and then all of a sudden, a dog ran out of a vehicle. like a mother, i screamed because im worried

ingredients: 2 rings smoked sausage, sliced into 3 inch pieces 2 pounds sauerkraut 8 to 12 red potatoes, washed and halved or quartered depending on the size 1 onion sliced 6 strips bacon, cooked and crumbled 2 apples, cored and sliced 2 bottles 12 ounces beer1/4 cup brown sugar 1 tablespoon caraway seeds optional directions: place potatoes in slow cooker. next add onion, apples, kraut, and bacon. place sausage on top. pour in beer, brown u cook on low for 4 to 6 hours or on high for 2 to 3 hours or until the potatoes are tender. and if you would like to check out the cooking mom's recipes-

36th and burnham around 6:25 a.m. when they arrived on the scene, intense flames were seen pouring from the attic of the structure. by 7:00 a.m., the fire was brought under control. three people were at home when the fire broke out -- they managed to get out of the building safely. again, a firefighter suffered a knee injury while battling this fire. he was taken to a hospital for treatment. they were on every floor. they were also in the attic they were on every floor when you saw them. that's the way the operation works. there will be somebody on every floor working. not only for fire suppression. but that's also to primary search to make sure we control every area of the building as we work in

60-dollars. abele says the county cant rely on state funds to help -- and this option will generate 27-million dollars a year for milwaukee county. he says its enough to fund all the countys transportation infrastructure costs, annual bus replacements, county highway and bridge repairs. it will also help preserve the 'go pass' program -- allowing seniors and the disabled to ride the bus for free - or at a reduced cost. the county board will get a look at the proposal next week. a long time educator -- is 68-year-old "thomas de-fazio" was a volunteer at kenosha's "all saints academy." he was fired by the principal -- after he "liked" some questionable pictures of young girls on facebook. on his laptop -- police allegedly found nearly a dozen inappropriate images. prosecutors say de-fazio told investigators he did not think the images "crossed the line." the south side of milwaukee has a prostitution problem and the city's common council took the

thursday-- neighbors say most of the issues are occurring on portions of national, greenfield and lincoln avenues. some say the root of the problem is drug addiction. others blame human trafficking. but they all agree the issue is complex-- and they hope to find a solution quickly. "one of my daily duties in the morning that i make it on myself is to go around and make sure that i don't find no needles around the school, used condoms." committee members are vowing to keep this conversation going until the problem is solved. alderman discuss it every month, if needed after fifty years, regency beauty institute has closed all seventy nine of its campuses including the one in greenfield. students are shocked and upset about the unexpected closing. angelica has more on when students can pick up their belongings. there are regency beauty schools in greenfield and in madison...as well as a few across the border in illinois. some students in madison say they found out around 8 wednesday night from an automated phone call...while others discovered

"i have 18 days left i have 144 hours which is nothing it's nothing. and for it to just be over like that it's it's surreal and it hurt it was heartbreaking not just for me but for my clas everyone" a statement from regency beauty institute reads: "we diligently explored a range of strategic options that would benefit our students, teachers, and staff and allow us to remain open. unfortunately, those efforts were not successful." the school posted on its website that students can pick up their belongings today from 11 to 1 p-m...and that schools will not be open at any other time. still ahead -- the cooking mom

the cooking mom is back -- making german apple pancakes! ingredients: 1/2 cup all-purpose flour 1 tablespoon granulated sugar 1/2 teaspoon salt 2/3 cup half-and-half 2 large eggs 1 teaspoon vanilla extract 3 tablespoons butter 3 to 4 apple p into slices 1 teaspoon cinnamon 1/4 cup brown sugar 2 teaspoons fresh lemon juice powdered sugar directions: place your oven rack in the upper-middle position and preheat the oven to 500 degrees f. in a large bowl, whisk together flour, sugar and salt. in a medium bowl, whisk together half-and- half, eggs, and vanilla. pour the half-and-half mixture into the flour mixture and whisk until smooth. in a 10-inch nonstick ovenproof skillet melt the butter. add
