force with mpd, well lets bring in the california state police! this afternoon, i talked with the west milwaukee police chief whos putting this partnership together. he says the members from the department involved in a shooting will not have an active role in that investigation. he says there will be about 50 members all together - obviously some agencies will have more than one representative. ben thanks aj the woman who rammed a milwaukee county sheriff's squad car -- learns her fate today. 23-year-old "ke-vina freeman" was sentenced to seven years in prison -- after she was convicted as part of a plea deal. back in may -- freeman was pulled over for speeding -- then she tried to take off. her mother and two sheriff's deputies were hurt in the incident. today she was tearful as she

for it to go that far and that was my fault because of a stupid decision i made and i regret that." the judge called her decision reckless and serious and says she needs to be aware of the severity of her actions. a major mess in the mitchell interchange today. it's all because of a crash-- involving a truck carrying 48-thousand pounds of stone. it happened right at the ramp from southbound i-43 to westbound i-894. onto the wall -- spilling it's load. that part of the interstate had to be shut down for a several hours while crews cleaned up the mess. a 36-year-old man has died after being shot multiple times on the city's north side. the shooting happened just before 10 near 37th and concordia. the victim died at the hospital this morning. police say its unclear what led up to the shooting -- and they're still looking for a suspect. a milwaukee firefighter is hurt

city's south side. firefighters were called to a house fire at 36th and burnham early this morning. three people managed to escape the fire on their own unharmed. but a firefighter hurt his knee...and was taken to the hospital. the deputy fire chief says flames were heaviest on the third floor. "the fire was in the attic you know there is some knee wall space up there you know some hidden areas, structural features of that building, it was in some hidden areas and we just had to work to get though them to get at that fire" investigation. the red cross is assisting the three victims. to the weather now. a gloomy day to start the weekend. can we expect things to get any better? weather expert stephanie barichello joins us now...

long-term closure starts tonight in the zoo interchange. the ramp connecting i-41 southbound, to i-94 eastbound, is scheduled to close, completely starting tonight. this closure will last until late spring of 2017. crews will be working on building a new, replacement ramp. the d-o-t says expect delays in the area -- as people will be directed off on side-streets. for information on the best way to get around the closure --- j now dot com. with the presidential election now 39 days away... chelsea clinton campaigned in wisconsin for mom hillary clinton. fox6s madeline anderson was in green bay for the visit -- she joins us with more on chelsea's message to voters. chelsea clinton encouraged folks to register to vote... answering questions about her mothers plans to raise the minimum wage... pass gun safety legislation and eliminate the

the second attempted robbery at the store this week. monday -- a man tried robbing the store. he was later caught. new today -- state officials are investigating the abrupt closure of a cosmetology school -- with campuses across the country. the regency beauty institute -- reportedly closing its doors due to low enrollment. we spoke with teachers and students at the greenfield location who say they never saw this coming. students were given specific hours on thursday and friday to pick up their supplies before doo closed for good. many are left wondering where to go from here it's scary i'll get through it i'll land on my feet..but i can't help worrying about my students a lot of them this is all they had this is all the direction they had." according to the institutes' website -- a number of accredited cosmetology schools are reaching out to help students complete their education. pending an agreement, a list of potential schools for students
