out of iowa this morning. two officers are killed on the job -- officials are calling it an ambush-style attack. and police say they now know who they are looking for... kim has the latest in the newsroom. iowa police say they're looking for 46-year-old scott michael greene of urbandale-- that's a suburb of des moines. and police warn he is likely armed and dangerous. this all started around one this morning -- with a shots fired call. des moines police say an officer responding to the call found an

then 20 minutes later, about two miles away -- a des moines officer was found shot. both officers were sitting in their patrol cars when they were shot -- they both died. officers are now being doubled up on patrols. "there is clearly a danger if you're a police officer. these guys were gunned down sitting in their car doing nothing wrong. so there's definitely some danger out there. there's somebody out there shooting police officers. we hope we find them before somebody else gets hurt." multiple departments are joining in on the search for the suspect. speed chase happening overnight ends with three people in handcuffs. police say the car was taken in an armed robbery. the car crashed into the ditch just south of brown deer road. one adult man...and two underage females were taken into custody at the scene. there were no injuries...and no other vehicles were involved. and in racine county -- one person is dead after a motorcycle crash. it happened in the town of raymond. someone called 9-1-1 after coming across a motorcycle that appeared to have hit a mailbox and a tree.

authorities believe the crash happened hours before the 9-1-1 call reporting the accident. the cause is still under investigation..but speed and alcohol do not appear to a factor. a milwaukee man who plead guilty to killing his girlfriend is expected to learn his fate today. 20-year-old frank lopez junior plead guilty to the first degree reckless homicide charge. police say he killed 18-year-old au- drea williams near 81st and villard back in march. investigators say she and lopez were fighti gun when it went off. the couple's 2-month-old baby was turned over to child protective services. his sentencing is scheduled for 8-30 this morning. a bank robbery suspect leads police on a wild chase. it spanned across three counties and eventually came to an end in hartford. and police say a stop for cigarettes helped lead to an arrest. it all began at the north shore bank at 60th and forest home. police say a suspect implied he had a weapon and robbed the bank. he then took off in a white van. investigators say the man led

washington counties. the suspect made a stop to buy cigarettes at a hartford gas station. he tried running from police, but was eventually arrested. guy comes in here all frantically, skips our line and tells me he needs a pack of cigarettes... after i give him his change back, he looks out the window and about 8 squad cars are here.jessob/vopolice say the suspect stole the van from his employer on monday. we are told at least two vehicles were hit by the suspect. milwaukee has rolled out violence prevention initiatives before-- but city leaders say this time - it's different. there aren't a whole lot of specifics right now.....but city officials joined activists and donors at discovery world for their first meeting yesterday morning. barrett says police are well equipped with a 300-million dollar budget. now, he says it's time to find ways the community itself can improve

a trail of blood leads to an arrest in connection to the death of a popular bar owner. but the charges aren't for homicide.... maurice cain is facing several drug charges after investigators say they stumbled on a drug operation in his apartment. mike patton was shot to death inside his bar last monday. cain, was the self described "bar manager" and subleased the apartment upstairs from patton. investigators say a trail of blood led them to kick in cain's door. inside, they say they found drugs and marijuana as well as more than 125- thousand dollars in cash. police say their investigation into who killed patton--- continues. the family of a man shot and killed by a wauwatosa police officer takes the first step toward filing a lawsuit against the city. jay anderson is the man police shot and killed earlier this year. his family has filed notice-- saying they've seen dash camera video of the shooting and that anderson had his hands in the air when he was shot. it also questions how the police department processed the scene after the shooting.

i became a tomboy playing ball with all the boys with a love for basbeall...grace piskula spent her youth honing in on her skills. i played third base first base, i pitched one game, i won it after playing in the milwaukee recreational league her talents were recognized on a much bigger scale. i got call from mr. wrigley who called me up and said he had a job for me on the chicago chicks o chicks i was in chicago at the time at lac cubs philip k. wrigley founded the all- american girls professional baseball league which piskula was fortunate to be part of. she played one year with the chicks before going on to become a player on the rockford peaches. looking at pictures and memorabilia she reminisces about the excitement of the game nearly three quarters of a century ago. nats 90 years old, and still an avid sports fan, shes happy to see baseball fever pick back up again as the chicago cubs
