= major delays yellow on traffic map = some delays green on traffic map = no delays happening now - investigators are now offering a 5-thousand dollar reward... to find the person responsible for a massive apartment complex fire in whitewater. the four alarm blaze affected 300 people. fortunately no one was injured... but at least t the fire chief estimates the fire did about half a million dollars in damage. the fire chief is not saying whether the person who caused the fire... did it intentionally or accidentally. hundreds marched through the streets of downtown milwaukee...protesti ng the election of donald trump for the second night...there were similar protests in cities across the country... deandra corinthios is live in red arrow park with more the group gathered here in red arrow park for a rally...before taking to the streets...and disrupting

are upset by tuesday's election outcome and are fighting back. the group chanted "not my president," as they made their way through the streets. they went down water street and turned onto 'east wisconsin avenue.' the crowd stopped near the wisconsin center. as they went down toward state street, milwaukee police officers were on horseback in front of the b-mo harris bradley center. there was briefly concern the group may start walking on the interstate.... but instead, they marched down 6-th street and onto mckinley. ultimately, the group made its way back to red arrow park. protesters say demonstrations this is only a first step-- 08:40 "yeah we're protesting but we need to talk about more policy talk about bringing it to the government talk about bringing it to the politicians instead of just advocating" this all lasted about five hours. milwaukee police say no arrests were made and there were no major incidents. reporting live in milwaukee deandra corithios fox6 news meanwhile... police are now calling an anti-trump protest in portland, oregon...

arrested at least 26 people. kim's in the newsroom with the latest. protests turned violent there... as police reported seeing people out with bats... and multiple acts of vandalism. police in portland are tweeting that things have been thrown at officers... and cars have been damaged. the state also had to shut down two interstates and two bridges because of the demonstrations. a witness says his tires were slashed. well, we were driving inaudible to get dinner. and we were stuck on walked up. we turned our car off and just sat there. and when we were just sitting there, they were walking by, beating on my window, spitting on us. one of them slashed my tires, my front passenger tires and tried to break the window. president elect donald trump tweeted last night"just had a very open and successful presidential election. now professional protesters, incited by the media, are protesting. very unfair!" but then this morning... the tone changed. he tweeted: "love the fact that

last night have passion for our great country. we will all come together and be proud!" his tweets both came after what he described as a great meeting between him and president obama yesterday. more on what they had to say about each other... coming up at 6:15. turning to your latest headlines - milwaukee police say they've arrested the driver suspected of hitting a five year old and then taking off. rickyia langham died sunday morning... near hampton and leon. angelica's in studio with more on how police found the driver. a witness said he saw the suspected i just outside his house. he recognized the car from photos released by police. rickya had been walking to church with her mom... when a porsche suv sped down their street. her mother told fox 6 news the little girl was thrown into the air... and the driver of the car drove away from the scene. police later released photos of the car - leading to a call. "thats why i called right away. 52 soon as i see the picture on facebook i called right away and was like hey that car that hit the

it shows officers searching inside of the club...running around the perimeter...and laying out stretchers for victims. cellphones can be heard ringing as loved ones tried to reach the victims. gunman omar mateen shot and killed 49 people inside of the club that night....before being shot and killed by officers. the city of orlando negotiated a deal earlier this week to buy pulse... and turn it into a permanent memorial. orlando's city council is expected to look at the deal next week. famed singer-songwriter leonard cohen has died. hallelujah" cohen was known for a number of popular songs... including hallelujah ... which has been covered by many singers.... suzanne and bird on a wire. cohen's work spanned five decades, and he just released a new album last month. no details have been released about his death. leonard cohen was 82. president-elect donald trump and

the transition of power has begun... with president obama and president-elect donald trump sitting down in the white house for the first time since the election. the two men have spent the better part of this year attacking each other's policies... so did sparks fly at yesterday's meeting? kim's in studio with a look at how it all went. the two met for 90 minutes at the white house... sitting down with reporters in the oval office. the campaign trail got ugly at times... with president obama calling the president-elect "unfit for t the two had nothing but praise for one another at yesterday's meeting. we now are going to want to do everything we can to help you succeed because if you succeed, then the country succeeds." it's the first time the two have met. the two toured the executive residence... including the truman balcony. they discussed raising kids in the white house. 10-year-old baron trump will be the first boy to be raised at the white house... since john f kennedy junior lived there. sasha and malia obama were 7 and 10 years old when their father was sworn in. president-elect trump and vice- president elect mike pence also visited the capitol. they met with senate majority leader mitch mcconnell and house speaker paul ryan. ryan showed the two men the view they also charted out plans to help the president elect enact a sweeping conservative agenda. ryan faces a vote next tuesday to keep his job as speaker of the house... but he's under fire from some fellow republicans for his decision not to defend trump during the election. the speaker says he's spoken with president-elect trump twice since election day. anchors chat/toss to rob rob's weather forecast from fox6

arrow park - within a few minutes, the protesters took to the streets... milwaukee police tried to anticipate their moves all night - blocking traffic and streets within a block radius along the route. protesters arrived at the bradley center...as the bucks game was getting out. milwaukee police were on horseback monitoring the crowds. the group chanted "not my president," saying the donald trump does not represent their values. along the way, many people were stuck in support; others called the protesters 'cry babies.' one woman at the start of the rally told us... this isnt about party politics. she says its about their dislike and fears of trump. sm 'i think it really is people taking revenge on obama - and not wanting to follow up obama with a woman. they think it was too much progress too soon.' at one point, one of our crews witnessed a woman who was not a

demonstrators as they marched by. but no one was seriously hurt. coming up at six...what protesters say needs to be the next step...after these marches. reporting live in milwaukee deandra corinthios fox6 news. and a similar scene in madison -- as thousands take part in a march from the u-w campus...to the steps of the state capitol. organizers say they wanted a space to reflect and discuss their discontent with the election outcome. they also said the intention of the march was not to reverse the election outcome, but rather for their concerns to be addressed by a trump presidency. cities across the country - but police in portland, oregon say their protests took a violent turn. the unrest there lasted well into the morning - and we're continuing to monitor reports emerging from there. but in the meantime... the president-elect has a white house to fill. nicole's in the newsroom with more. the president-elect kicked off the transition process... visiting the white house and capitol hill yesterday. his team is now beginning to work on filling top white house and cabinet positions. some of the names being mentioned: former house speaker newt gingrich for secretary of

of the united states. looking at the day ahead... the two girls accused of stabbing their classmate to impress the fictional online character slenderman... will be in court. a waukesha county judge is expected to oversee status hearings today for anissa weier and morgan geyser. two months ago -- weier changed her plea to "not guilty by reason of mental disease" for the crime. two doctors were appointed to evaluate her. the court hearings are set to get underway at 1:30 this afternoon. investigating a fatal accident on interstate 94. a woman was hit by a semi truck near college avenue yesterday morning. all the lanes had to be shut down in the area because of the crash. we're still waiting to hear more on why the woman was on the interstate in the first place. fox6 has learned a milwaukee man shot in the back almost two years ago... died earlier this month from his injuries. eric walker was shot during an attempted home invasion in december of 2014. he miraculously survived, but

his family-- would not heal. he was left permanently paralyzed. the person who pulled the trigger has never been caught... and family members are asking anyone with information to come forward. police say walker's death will be included in the 2016 homicide ?statistics. today is also veterans day... and several events will be taking place... to honor those who are serving or have served our country. angelica's in studio with more details. the milwaukee v-a is planning to hold their annual ceremony this morning at 10-30. mayor tom barrett will be there later on to also announce a holiday gift giving campaign to benefit veterans. this is the second year in a row the county and city is combining their outreach with the v-a. throughout the holiday season, those employees and others in the community can donate items that will directly go to veterans and program areas throughout the hospital. last year the community donated more than 20-thousand dollars in gifts that covered everything on

in los angeles... protesters took to the streets and freeways for a second straight night. a group of demonstrators blocked the i-580 in both directions last night. a large number of students walked off u-s-c and u-c-l-a campuses... forcing police to shut down roads - many of those protesters were high schoolers. and in oakland... police also had a busy night... arresting 30 people... and issuing 11 citations... for charges ranging from failure to disperse... and assault on an officer. at least thr and three p-d cars were damaged. more than a dozen reports of vandalism came in... and at least 40 fires had to be put out. in chicago... demonstrators gathered for a second day outside trump tower. demonstrators were met with cheers from some people who were shopping or getting dinner in the area... while at least one person driving by shouted at the protesters to "shut up and accept democracy." another protest is planned for saturday in millenium park - and organizers say thousands signed up

football playoff rankings are out... and wisconsin's moving up. wisconsin has moved from 8th place... to 7th. alabama... clemson... michigan... and washington make up the top four - those are the spots that will qualify to compete for the national championship in tampa this winter. ohio state is ranked 5th - wisconsin lost to both michigan and ohio state earlier this season... but could see them again for a potential big 10 championship. for now, though... they're focusing on welcoming illinois to camp randall tomorrow... for what should be an easy win. and while there's a lot of great buzz about the bucks' future... they ran into trouble last night... as the 0-and-8 pelicans come to town... and beat them 112 to 106. jabari parker comes out with a purpose, scoring eleven of the first 23 points for the bucks..... he is
