yellow on traffic map = some delays green on traffic map = no delays breaking news overnight --- a burglary suspect shoots at milwaukee police officers. m-p-d now has that man in custody. deandra corinthios is the officers were responding to a burglary in progress when a suspect armed with a handgun fired at them this happened near 27th and ruby shortly before 10:30 p-m after the suspect fired the shots, an officer returned fire. no one was hit ...no officers were injured the suspect took off running...and after a brief foot chase a 23 year old man from milwaukee was arrested a

department says the suspect has an arrest record with them. his name has not been released. the case now goes to the milwaukee county district attorney's office... they'll review it and decide on charges. reporting live in milwaukee deandra corinthios fox6 news. three families are displaced after an apartment fire in south milwaukee. fire crews were called out to 13th and manistique for a kitchen fire. the red cross is assisting ten people. no word on how much damage was done by the fire. two people recovering this morning after acr milwaukee. we're told three vehicles were involved in the accident at 6th and oklahoma last night just before 8:30. authorities say one of the two injured was trapped in one of the cars and had to extricated. it's unclear how severe the injuries are at this time...or what caused the crash. and in franklin - two motorcycles crashed into each other near 76th and ryan road last night. we're told one person was taken to the hospital...and is expected to survive. the other - apparently took off the scene...and police are still

to find out if he will be released from prison. this morning he remains locked up -- even though his murder conviction has been overturned. kim is in the newsroom with details. dassey could have walked out of prison a free man today --- but he'll remain behind bars pending the outcome of the appeal. dassey's conviction for his role in the rape and murder of teresa halbach was thrown out in august. the 7th circuit court of appeals in chicago will now decided whether or not to uphold that ruling. in dassey's hometown of mishicot, many are disappointed by the ruling. while many here tell us should be, they are uncomfortable with the confession dassey gave after controversial questioning from authorities. they said what they wanted him to say, and then they go and slap the cuffs on him. well that's not right. i'm pretty strong opinated on how brendan didn't do naything, more so than avery, because breandan really got coexed into a lot of things. there is no timeline how long it

steven avery's fight for freedom. just go onto fox six now dot com. search "avery archive" to check out developments in this story going back as far as 2003. it's a 8 and a half million dollar lawsuit. a woman is accusing the milwaukee county sheriff and his staff of mistreatment that caused the death of her newborn baby inside a jail cell. angelica joins us now with more. 30-year-old shade swayzer was arrested when she was 8 and half months pregnant...aftersh prior to being booked into the county jail she was taken to a local hospital for examination. her attorney claims her pregnancy was progressing normally at the time. she was placed in a maximum security unit. her attorney says when she alerted guards that she was in labor nothing was done she claims she was forced to have the baby inside her cell-- and within hours it died. "she's very depressed. she's distraught. i've never seen anybody

it's time to start planning your thanksgiving day menu. the cookimg mom is here with some easy recipes. good morning! ingredients: 3 lbs. potatoes, peeled and cut into chunks salt and pepper optional 1/4 cup milk 1 16 ounces prepared french onion dip1 container 2.8 ounces french fried onionsdirections: place in large pan and cover with water. bring to a boil and cook until tender, about 20-25 minutes. drain potatoes and return them to the cooking pan. place pan back on low heat and stir potatoes for a minute to dry them out a bit. season with a little salt and pepper if you like and mash. stir in milk and onion dip and mix well. spoon potatoes into a casserole dish that has been sprayed with cooking spray. cover with foil and bake in a preheated 350 degree oven for 20 to 30 minutes. uncover. sprinkle onions on top and bake another 5

delays green on traffic map = no delays old man is under arrest...after firing shots at milwaukee police. this happened on the city's northwest side. deandra corinthios has the latest from m-p-d district five. milwaukee police know who this guy is... they say the suspect has an arrest record with them... officers were responding to a burglary in progress when they were shot at this is video of the scene near 27th and ruby.

rich on tech dot tv. the cooking mom is back with a quick --- just 4 ingredients recipe for bacon to 6 slices thick-cut bacon 2 tablespoons butter 1 bag 16 ounces frozen brussel sprouts, thawed and cut in half1/2 cup finely diced onion salt and pepper directions: in a large skillet, fry bacon until crispy. remove to a paper towel-lined plate to drain and crumble. in the same pan you cooked the bacon in, melt the butter with the bacon drippings. add onions and sprouts and cook, stirring occasionally, for about 5 to 8 minutes. season with salt and pepper and toss the bacon back into pan. serve right away. and if you would like to check out the cooking mom's recipes-
