with a high in the middle 30s. clouds roll in tuesday ahead of a storm system that will bring us a few rain showers tuesday night. we will warm into the low 40s tuesday afternoon. rain is likely on wednesday with a high in the mid-40s. thanksgiving looks dry with highs in the middle 40s. rain/snow showers return friday. monday: mostly sunny and cold. high: 36 wind: n 5-10 mph we're following breaking news officers-- in four different cities-- shot in the line of duty. an officer in san antonio, texas, was killed. and a suspect wanted for an ambush-style attack in saint louis was shot dead by police. angelica joins us from the newsroom with the latest. let's start in saint louis... police say the suspect who ambushed and shot an officer was killed in a shootout with police overnight. police say that around seven-30 last night....the police sargent was shot twice in the face... after a driver pulled up besides him and opened fire.

the suspect ran from the scene-- leading police on a manhunt that ended early this morning. the officer is expected to survive. just hours later in missouri, a gladstone officer was shot during a traffic stop. that officer also expected to be ok. this comes just hours after a police officer in san antonio, texas was shot and killed. police there are still searching for the suspect. investigators say the officer was writing out a routine traffic ticket .. when another driver pulled up behind the two shots at the officer's head. 50 year old detective benjamin marconi .. died at the hospital. police are still looking for the shooter and say there is no connection between the driver getting the ticket and the killer. and in florida-- police have arrested the suspect who shot a police officer in sanibel last night. police say they took the suspect into custody after he exchanged gunfire with officers. officials say the suspect shot jarred ciccone in a drive by shooting while the

that officer has since been treated and released from the hospital. we'll have the latest on all these incidents throughout the morning here on wakeup. kim and jessob. back to you. a bizarre case will likely come to an end today. 31-year-old robert dorgay disappeared in the middle of his trial. but a jury still found him guilty of a number of charges-- including sexual assault and strangulation. u-s marshals picked him up in mississippi just days later. he had cut off his g-p-s monitoring bracelet. dorgay's sentencing is scheduled for 8 morning. jermarro dantzler is also due in court tomorrow. he's the man accused of sexually assaulting a teenager at gunpoint. you'll remember danztler owned a group home for troubled teens. but the state shut it down after the alleged assault. prosecutors say dantzler also tried to convince people to give him an alibi. his sentencing hearings for both cases are scheduled for this afternoon. one person is dead and six others hurt in crash... police say the 18-year-old driver was trying to get away from officers at a

after the car... but the chevy sped off near capitol, swerving into oncoming traffic. the chevy hit another car and a concrete light pole near 27-th and capitol. one male passenger in the chevy died on the scene while two others-- the driver and another 20 year-old passenger suffered serious injuries.... but they are expected to survive. the mother of the suspected driver of the chevy sympathizes for all of the victims involved. she says she wants to prevent future tragedies. and makes a heartfelt plea. both families and that someone learn to make better choices and to think before actions. there is an effect, it affects both families as for the occupants in the other vehicle that was hit-- they were taken to the hospital with non-life threatening injures. police have not released the identity of the driver. a teacher's stolen car-- now found. and one of her students is in police custody.

coat pocket tuesday. when she walked outside, she noticed her car was also missing. she teaches at universal academy in milwaukee. she says thanks to a fox 6 story about the car theft, the student's family member called police. "they saw us on fox 6 and honestly if it wasnt for this i dont know if id be sitting here talking to you today talking about the fact i was able to get it back" police tell us they plan to present the case to the milwaukee county district attorney's offc the coming days. president-elect donald trump's newly appointed national security advisor-- mike flynn -- is scheduled to speak at ripon college today. the president-elect -- spending much of the weekend meeting with quite a few high-profile visitors as he works to build his administration team. on the schedule - new jersey governor chris christie and john bolton, the former u-s ambassador to the united nations. on saturday, mr. trump and pence met with retired marine general james mattis, a potential pick for secretary of defense. and mitt romney who is being

state. the election is over but hard feelings remain -- both on broadway and at a wauwatosa-based spice company-- whose owners call president elect donald trump's supporters racist. in his newsletter and later on facebook, bill penzey wrote that the open embrace of racism by the republican party in this election is now unleashing a wave of ugliness unseen in this country for decades. some of president elect trump's supporters said they would no said they had stopped buying penzey products long ago -- but the penzey's store in brookfield remained busy yesterday afternoon. he doesnt know me. he doesnt know anybody that i know that had purchased from him. but were racist because we chose to vote for a person that in this country we have every right to do people have a right to do that but i dont think its good business sense everybody has their opinion, and i think people should stand strong about what

pants. wilson's brother didn't want to return the shoes until he got his pants back. that's when the fight broke out... and shots were fired. workers at chicago's o'hare international airport who voted to strike soon will announce when they plan to take action. service employees international union local 1 officials say they'll announce the date of their strike at 10 this morning. about 500 workers committed to a strike after a vote last thursday. they work mainly for private contractors and are seeking union rights and a $15 per hour wage. this morning... the long-running standoff over an oil pipeline in north dakota is intensifying. angelica joins us from the newsroom with the latest. at least one person was arrested in north dakota, in what police are calling a riot over the controversial dakota access pipeline. police clashed with protestors over a bridge on a state highway yesterday. officers used tear gas and water cannons in below freezing temperatures to turn back the protestors. police estimated 400 people tried to cross the bridge. protesters have been trying to stop the construction of the

high: 36 wind: n 5-10 mph wrong for one family who bought a tonka truck from a washington toys-r- us. on the drive home the toy burst into flames. then on the way back to the store to return the toy, it ignited again- setting the customer's truck on fire. this may have been an isolated incident for the toy. but for now- toys r us has taken it off their shelves and removed it from the website. black friday isn't the only big holiday shopping day starting early... walmart is announcing it will kick off its cyber monday

a former miss america has stepped up to lead the miss kenosha scholarship pageant. the pageant was at risk of being canceled next year - because they don't have an executive director. laura kaeppeler fleiss has agreed to take on the job of directing the local pageant. among other things.. the job requires running reh donations and sponsors. fleiss captured the miss america title in 20-12 after being crowned miss kenosha and miss wisconsin. disney fanatics-- trying to snag a piece of the magic. california's van eaton galleries held a "souvenirs of disneyland" auction this weekend. it featured more than a thousand rare and never-before-seen items from the theme park over the last six decades. items includes costumes, artwork, souvenirs and other collectibles. dgx check out this piece-- an original hand- painted painting
