'it is unusual for new berlin' a secluded house on the quiet street of hickory trail is now the scene of a double shooting investigation. a 911 call at 6:30am lead to the discovery of a 76-year-old man and 71-year-old woman with single gun shot wounds. 'there was a male caller who did not identify himself but gave an address and said help was needed here. the dispatcher asked for more details just repeated that help was needed here thats all he said.' the man was dead when police arrived at the scene while the woman was transported to a hospital where she later died. this news has disturbed nearby neighbors. 'they told me who it was and i was just shocked because it was an older couple that were very quiet. 20-year-old danielle svehlek tells us the 71-year-old woman was often seen caring for her pets.
