both simpson and nadir soofi died in sunday's attack. soofi's mother believes simpson influenced her son. >> they were looking at sites on the internet that were promoting extremist views. simpson's father told abc news that his son made a bad choice and "we are americans and we believe in america." abc news, new york. >> turning now to baltimore, struggling to get back to normal following unrest over freddie grays death. one of the police officers facing charges is demanding an inspection of the knife seized from gray. the city's top prosecutor declared the arrest illegal saying that gray was allowed to carry the knife under maryland law, but the officer claims it was and i legal weapon according to baltimore's stricter rules. attorney general loretta lynch took a trip to baltimore in her second week on the job and met with the mayor and freddie gray's family and pledged to improve the city's police

kids hostage, if you will. the driver drove back to the school. he forced the parents to follow. and the parents had to call 911 too. the arizona school district reviewing the video but has not yet decided whether the driver acted irresponsibly. >> on the east coast, a park in the boston area, a large tree fell right on top of a group of children. it injured two of them and it's highlighting a potential danger in parks all across this country. tom llamas has that story. >> reporter: eyewitnesss say first they heard a loud crack and then saw this, that tree crashing down into a playground and on top of two children. watch again as some kids scramble to get away, adults start running towards the tree. they pull out 8-year-old diego ruiz. >> a tree fell on my head. >> he's okay, but 2-year-old david mancia now in the hospital. as we've seen, there's little time to run when a tree starts to fall. by one stipulate, 25 to 30 people a year are killed by
