the death toll rose to thirty-three. sam sweeney is standing by with the very latest. sam? this morning, california authorities are asking fammilies with missing loved ones to preserve their dna in order to help identify bodies down the road. . the death toll is now at 33 and investigators expect to find more victims. the warehouse housed temporary artists studios and its believed people were living in there as well. a criminal probe has now been launched.. in what's now the ea firefighters are pushing forward in the round-the-clock search for the missing. the fire broke out friday night during an electronic dance party. the warehouse did not appear to have any sprinklers. city records show that last month - property owners were cited for safety code violations. officials say most of the dead were on the second floor which collapsed. authorities so far identifying at leas t 8 victims -- most in their 20s and the 30s...one just 17... this morning

returning to normal, after a nine-day mourning period over the death of fidel castro. the ashes of cuba's former longtime communist dictator were buried yesterday, during a private funeral in santiago. outside the cemetery, tens of thousands of people lined the streets. castro died november 25th. he was 90-year-old. breaking overnight. a major political shift overseas. sam sweeney standing by with the impact of the resignation of italy's prime minister, another blow for the european union this morning. matteo renzi is stepping down following a crushing defeat in the country's constitutional referendum. nearly 60 percent of voters opposed reforms renzi claimed were vital to modernize italy. the result is considered a win for populist and nationalist parties who campaigned against renzi and his promise to stimulate italy's economy. he is expected to

four-point -eight million presidential ballots today. a federal judge in last night.. the recount can begin today at noon. sam sweeney is here with more. the judge's ruling gives michigan more time to complete the count ahead of the december 13th deadline. green party presidential candidate jill stein requested the recount. president-elect donald trump sued elections officials to stop it. trump defeated hillary clinton by nearly 11-thousand votes in michigan. stein received about one-percent of the vote. she plans to seek an emergency federal court order today in her bid for a
