31-year-old clinton worrel also had a valid medical certification. he had been driving for that company for 2.5 years and was considered an outstanding employee. his truck slid on ice, slammed into a jersey wall and exploded. the trucked ended up falling off the bridge and landing on train tracks below. that tanker crash happened around the same time as a 68 car pile up that injured dozens more and st down the highway for hours. all of this happened during icy conditions. the tanker crash is being investigated as a separate incident from the pile up but the two are likely related. breaking overnight. a woman struck by a metro train on the orange line in landover. officials say the woman suffered non-life threatening injuries. crews had to remove her from underneath the train. witnesses told prince george's county fire crews that the woman intentionally moved in front of the train. right now the incident is under investigation. right now police in charlottesville are investigated a fatal car crash.

order against him for a domestic violence charge. maybe your gps doesn't always know best. a family in las vegas decided to go to the grand canyon. someone, the gps guided them onto a closed road that was covered in heavy snow in utah. the car got stranded and the family couldn't get a cell phone signal. so, karen klein started walking while her husband, eric, stayed behind with their ten year old son. eventually, eric was able to get to a spot with a signal and call for help. as for karen, she was found in a shack 26 miles away from the family got stranded. kristen haase, sister rescued: "what kept her going was she didn't want her mother to bury her daughter...she didn't want her twin to be without a sister., so she kept going." sister., so she kept going." karen is recovering in a hospital after suffering frostbite. she says she is still looking forward to seeing the grand canyon, but not in the winter.

packed new york nightclub killing two people and injuring four others early christmas morning. investigators say the suspect may have been kicked out from the mansion nightclub in mount vernon just before 4-30 sunday morning. the clubs owner was killed in the shooting. all the victims were found in the lobby and on the street outside the club. the suspect has not yet been named but police say he is a bronx resident with a pending attempted murder case. the folks at santa tracker estimate that santa delivered more than seven billion gifts around the world in a 24 hour span. and while all of his gifts are usually spot on -- not every gift is. lindsey mastis takes a look at some of the worst gifts viewers say they've gotten in the past. for most of us, the presents are all
