scene of an apparent barricade situation, involving two young children. here is what we know right now. police tell us that officers received a call last night-- about a man experiencing what is being called "a mental crisis". police arrived at the house-- but the man refused to come out. he is also refusing to release two children, believed to be inside. our ryan hughes is on the scene. he'll have a live report coming up at 5:15. happening right now - a massive manhunt for a killer, now moving across state lines. this all started on easter sunday after the deadly shooting was posted on facebook. and overnight - new word from police about where that suspect may be headed. suzanne kennedy is following it all in the newsroom. police believe steve stephens could be armed and

state manhunt is underway right now. take a good look at this picture. this is the man police say killed a senior citizen, then uploaded it to facebook. stephens blaming the murder on his girlfriend. police have identified the victim as 74 year old robert godwin senior. that video was on the social media site for three hours before it was removed. police believe stephens has fled the state--possibly in a newer model white ford fusion. facebook issued a statement calling the crime horrific. coming up at 530 the personal message being issued this morning for that alleged cleveland killer. at the live desk...sk back to you. right now. vice president mike pence visiting the demilitarized zone between north and south korea. his trip comes just a short time after an attempted missile launch by north korea failed. the vice president says the era of strategic patience is over with north korea and the u-s has grown impatient with their unwillingness to rid

this morning for safetrack surge 14. green line riders will have to take a free shuttle bus to get past the work area. the line between greenbelt and prince george's plaza will be closed until april 29th. and that's just phase one. the greenbelt station will stay closed for another three weeks for phase two of the track work. starting this morning - the university of maryland will be running a special metro express shuttle to help students get around safetrack. buses will stop at multiple locations on the college park campus from seven a-m through eight p-m. the metro shuttle will run through friday, april 28th. the college park station reopens that weekend. happening today.. president trump and the first lady will host their first easter egg roll. more than 20-thousand people are expected at the white house throughout the day. there have been some concerns after planning for the annual event got a late start. but despite the delay - the white house says they the 139th egg roll expect it to be a success. our john gonzalez is live at the white house. we'll have a full

residents in several states to be on alert... ...as a manhunt continues for an accused killer out of cleveland. that suspect - accused of targeting randomly killing an elderly man and posting the video on facebook suzanne kennedy is following the new developments live in the newsroom... suzanne? a five state manhunt is underway right now as authorities search for the alleged killer who posted a murder on facebook. this is the suspect--37 year old steve stephens. police say he killed 74 year old robert godwin senior sunday afternoon in cleveland then uploaded it to facebook.

blaming the murder on his girlfriend. the video of the killing was up for about three hours before it was removed. in a separate video, stephens said he also killed more than a dozen other people-- although that has not been verified. in a press conference last night authorities urged stephens to surrender. stepehens is believed to be driving a white ford fusion--police say he could be armed and dangerous. facebook has issued a statement calling the crime "horrific" . united airlines--back in the headlines this morning for kicking a couple off a flight to their destination wedding. michael hohl and

across the country are demanding that president trump release his tax returns. demonstrations took place saturday in several cities, including d.c., new york, chicago, los angeles, and san francisco. the protests were all focused on that one issue. president trump responded with tweets. they read, quote.. "i did what was an almost impossible thing to do for a republican-easily won the electoral college! now tax returns are brought up again? someone should look into who paid for the small organized rallies yesterday. the election is over!" a crime alert in prince george's county... police say a woman was stabbed on springdale avenue in forestville. she knocked on the door of a home... then collapsed in the front yard. she later died at the hospital. police tape wrapped around the front yards of two homes... as part of their murder investigation. police say the woman did not have

detectives focused a lot of attention on the silver audi parked out front of the home where the woman collapsed. speeding and alcohol are being blamed for a crash in charles county that killed two people. it happened late saturday night on leonardtown road in hughesville. police say a chevy suburban hit a jeep driven by a waldorf woman, ended up on a lawn, and caught fire. she and her passenger are doing okay. but the suburban's driver and a passenger were killed. they've been identified as michael simms of linden, virginia.. and lashawnia hagen of waldorf, maryland. four passengers in the suburban were taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. happening tonight - the hyattsville city council wil
