latest from the live desk. this suspect has been barricaded in this middlletown delaware house since early yesterday. overnighht police blew off the front door, but werent able to go in. here's what we know. around noon yesterday a 32 year old delaware state trooper approched a suspicious car in a bear delaware wawa parking lot. 2 people were inside. one exited the car and shot the trooper multiple times then took off. the trooper died shortly later. police moved in and took one suspect into custody, but the man got away. he made it 15 miles. police found him in a house in middletown delware where he has been barricaded since. reports say hes been firing at officers. delware state police tell us no one has been injured. this is a developing a story. as we get new information, well let you know. it's the airline

evacuation. it happened on train 883 on the brunswick line. the train left union station around 7:25 last night, headed to brunswick. when the train reached silver spring, a witness saw smoke and fire. passengers were evacuated. extinguishers were used to put out the fire. the train sat at the silver spring station for nearly two hours, before passengers were finally allowed back on. this morning- wizards fans have something to celebrate! the wiz- back at the phone booth last night- to regain their lead in their series against the hawks! they beat atlanta, 103 to 99 - putting them up in the series, 3-2. now though - it's back to atlanta for game six tomorrow. the wizards have a

funding bill deadline. but, the battle over a government shutdown appears to be mostly over - for now. sam sweeney is at the live desk with the new developments overnight. autria.. republicans announced overnight that they will move forward with a short-term spending plan. it only keeps the government funded for another week - through may fifth. but that would give lawmakers more time to negotiatie a longer-term funding package. president trump's border wall and health care spending had been two sticking points for democrats. but yesterday - the trump administration agreed to continue paying obamacare subsidies... and earlier this week temporarily sidelined the border wall funding. the short-term funding bill is expected to be taken up by the house and senate before tomorrow's midnight deadline. also new overnight - a surprise announcement from the white house. president trump - telling the leaders of mexico and canada that he will not pull out of the north america

the call came just hours after an administration official said the president was likely to sign an order that would begin the process of pulling the u-s out of the deal. trump has blamed "nafta" for american job issues. happening right now... the u-c berkely campus - bracing for a day of protests this - over a speech planned for today by conservative commentator anne coulter. due to outrage and threats, it has now been cancelled. still campus law enforcement expect big demonstrations today from both supporters and those against coulter's appearance. authorities say more officers will be visible on campus. despite cancelling her speech, coulter says she may still stop by campus to see supporters. happening today hundreds of workers at dulles and reagan national airport are expected walk off the job. the group will go on strike to protest what they are calling violations of federal labor laws by their employer, the huntleigh corporation. the workers consist of wheelchair attendants, baggage handlers, checkpoint agents and skycaps. protesters plan to hold at rally at

metro. a woman had to be arrested after fighting and swinging a knife at her husband. this was aboard the red line around nine last night on the way to shady grove. according to witnesses at the scene it took police 30-minutes to calm the woman down. she was taken into custody at the white flint station. metro says she was in possesion of a controlled substance. police believe she may have been under the influence of pcp. right now she is facing multiple charges. new this m orning - another airline incident caught on camera. a man says he was kicked off a delta plane preparing for takeoff - because he took a bathroom break! passenger "kima hamilton" says the milwaukee bound flight from atlanta was delayed

fire crews are on the scene right now battling a few hot spots that continue to flare up on the roof. firefighters are expected to stay on berwyn house road until at least this afternoon. on monday - a five alarm fire ripped through a nearly completely apartment building under construction. it was one of the biggest fire responses in prince george's county history. and in silver spring - a fire, creating a frustrating ride home for marc train riders. overheated brakes triggered the flames and forced passengers to evacuate. witnesses say the fire was small, but created a lot of smoke. passengers on the brusnwick were forced to wait for nearly two hours before the train eventually got moving again. marc service is back to normal today. happening today.. the loudoun county sheriff's office will hold the second of four public safety meetings. the meeting will address drug safety concerns, after an incident on friday. authorities say seven students at river bend middle school shared a drink beli
