- 24 hours after gunfire stunned las vegas. a gong sounding 59 times overnight - one for each life lost. across the country - vigils being held to remember those innocent victims. here is the latest. this morning - the death toll stands at 59 - with more than 520 injured, when a gunman fired down on a crowd a concert. police say the shooter had an arsenal of weapons at the hotel - and at his home - and ammonium nitrate in his car. president trump will visit las vegas tomorrow. overnight - tributes around the world to show support for las vegas. popular landmarks, going dark to honor the victims of the deadly attack. but in las vegas -- candles shining bright against the night sky. the lights represent love for the lives lost during a country concert. among the dead - a woman from west virginia. denise salmon-burditus lived in martinsburg, west virginia, and had attended high school in nearby hedgesville. she and her husband, tony were at the concert in las vegas when gu

facebook that his wife died in his arms. denise salmon-burditis was denise salmon-burditis was 50-years-old. she and her husband had been married for 32 years. she leaves behind two children.. and four grandchildren. among the injured is another young woman with ties to our area. arundel high school - posting on facebook tonight about tina frost - saying she is currently in the i-c-u and in a coma. the school says she lost her right eye due to her injuries. frost - graduated in 2008- and was a member of the scocer team. we'll let you know as we find out more about her condition. all of the las vegas victims - attending what was supposed to be a fun concert with loved ones when the gunfire rang out. the festival was not an intensely secured event.. what investigators call a "soft target". and that has many asking the question - how do you protect large crowds? joh

from the brother of the man police say gunned down 59 people on the last vegas strip. and this morning we're finding out more about 64-year-old stephen paddock. adrianna hopkins is at the live desk - and adrianna, bot the nation - and those who knew - still stunned this morning. his family says paddock, a retired accountant, had never shown any violent tendencies -- while law enforcement says he had kept a low profile -- with no record, besides what's said to be a minor citation several years ago. the 64-year-old was living in retirement community about 80 miles from las vegas
